I needed a tube notcher to handle 1" chrome tubing. I chose this unit over other designs for what I perceived as good adjustability and rigidity. Glad I did. This unit allows for very secure tube holding and a spindle that has no play in it, in spite of it having just a bushing.

Comes with good instructions for the novice, seems like a solid unit. A little sad that it doesn’t come with bearings. Comes with bushings that will eventually wear out and not sure how to replace them. Needs to be fully cleaned prior to first use.Update: made a few test notches in 4130 tubing. Worked well no complaints on the quality of notches at all.
