This tool is great for removing rust from plate steel, the wide head makes a nice swipe across the plate removing rust and debris with ease.It weighs almost 5 pounds and fit my HF burnishing tool fine. It works great on removing rust from metal. Just make sure to wear gloves and safety glasses with this because it is metal.5 stars!!

This fit my HF grinder and works really good for metal prep. Doesn't wear as fast as fiber wheels.

I would bet this thing weighs nearly 5 lbs, it feels like you're picking up a solid chunk of steel that's nasty and poky and tears at your hands... it's perfect! I've never used anything faster at cleaning up some rust on some parts, if you do body work, welding, or powder coating you need this. Now that said, the biggest problem with smaller parts is to figure out what to hold them down so this thing doesn't shoot them across the room...

I tested this on some wood surfaces, and wow it eats. If you're going for a really heavy distressed look this could be the ticket. On the other hand with mild steel it really did a number on paint, rust and even mill scale, but it left some relatively heavy scratches. Fit in my vevor style resurfacing tool.

This drawing wheel seems terrifying, at first. It weighs a ton, but I find that actually helps with control. A good twisted steel wire wheel on the angle grinder will clean up even the worst surfaces pretty quickly. This wheel is, essentially, nine of those wheels in parallel. It makes very short work of larger pieces. Even after stress testing, none of the wire coils have loosened or deformed significantly. I also found it pretty effective for roughing old concrete surfaces as a first step before etching and epoxy coating.

This thing is big and heavy, and very durable. The wire is twisted and packed tight. This is like a twisted wire wheel for a grinder, but in a drum sander format. You need a tool that this can be used with naturally. It's great for using on the same types of things that you'd use a twisted wire wheel on a grinder for, and can also use it for rapid removal of paint or removing finishes off of wood. It's aggressive, so you need to use care, and will need to sand afterwards unless you like that rough finished look. It's a high quality wheel, and don't think that it'll need to be replaced any time soon.

I don't yet have the surface conditioning tool that you'd mount this wheel to but this thing is HEAVY DUTY!It weighs 4 lbs 14 oz. and I don't have any doubt that this wheel will make quick work of stripping rust off of metal panels. It's a bit pricey but well worth it.
