For reference, I have a 75lbs dog who likes to walk at the very end of his leash extension. Sometimes he'll "squirrel" but mostly he just walks. He also wears a headcollar, so his leash hangs from his face and not from his collar or a harness. I ordered this to replace a shorter bungee leash that he stretched out beyond its capacity to rebound. The previous one was non-adjustable, and also came with a hands-free belt.The Belt:The belt on my previous one was wider (~4") and padded. On our first walk with this one I was trying not to be biased against the 1" nylon web belt (like a normal leash), but after getting my kidneys tugged by it a couple times I can feel the difference. Additionally, at that place where I wear it (above my hips but below my waist) I measure ~44" circumference, and had to adjust this to its max capacity to wear it comfortably. I believe this is the stated maximum length of the belt, so keep that in mind if you're planning to wear it somewhere larger.The Bag:The included bag is nice thick material with a low-profile shape. It's big enough to fit my phone and keys, and slides around the whole belt so you can wear it wherever you want (hip, lower back, etc.). There's one of those star-pattern cutouts to thread a dog bag roll through, but weirdly that's at the top edge (near the zipper), and there's nothing to keep the roll from being wherever it wants (other than the tension/pressure created by the narrowness of the bag & being pressed against your body). At one point I also put a used dog bag back into this belt bag until we got to a garbage can, and that was not a horrible experience -- it didn't pick up a smell, and wasn't too bulky, etc. The zipper is super slick and opens easily. I don't feel like it's in danger of "falling" open if you were to wear it vertically (like across a chest), but it can be opened one-handed.The Leash:This is a LONG line, and there are two sections (an adjustable part and a bungee part). The belt-connecting end has a nice heavy trigger clip, then an adjustable portion of 1" nylon web (grey). The sliders here are very loose; I wanted it to be at its shortest length as my dog adjusts to having the extra length, but it never stayed that way & I had to keep babysitting it the whole walk. Between the adjustable section and the bungee section there is a leash handle. At one point I slid the adjustability slider up over the double-thick portion where the handle started (past the stitching), and this seemed to better keep it the length I wanted. This is fine for minimum length, but I'll need to figure something out for truly adjustable any-length type variability. The slide-lock is of absolutely no use. The bungee portion is pretty long, and feels really thick. I have high hopes for its durability. As my dog pulled it out he could feel the increasing pressure, and this discouraged him going further when he was just wandering about, but provides zero control if he were truly pulling. Fortunately there is another loop/traffic handle down at the dog end of the leash between the bungee portion and the other trigger clip, for when I need to rein him in.

I absolutely adore this leash- it's been a total game-changer for me and my 110 lb dog. Here are the highlights:-Ease of Use- I finally have my hands back!! I love being able to just tie it around my waist and go hands-free. He feels really secure to my body, and I can even eat outside without needed to tether him anywhere else.-Handles- If needed, you can easily grab one of the two handles and hold him closer (great in crowded/stressful spots)-Fanny pack included- it's large enough to keep a few treats and plenty of baggies! I never have to worry about whether I have that on me anymore.This is my new go-to leash, I'm so happy with it. And I can confirm it works well for my 110 lb boy, he can pull hard but this leash really is very durable/strong. I'm excited to use this throughout the year, and might even add some padding to the waist strap in the summer (when I don't have the coat anymore to cushion me, haha). Love this leash!

We just adopted a new dog and we are in the process of teaching her how to stay with us when we are outside. I think it will be a while before her recall becomes reliable, so until that happens I make sure to keep her attached to me at all times when we are away from home. This has been the perfect way to give her a little freedom, while freeing up my hands to carry groceries or give treats. We alternate between giving her as much freedom as the springy leash will allow and being able to quickly pull her closer to me using the handles when we come across people or other dogs. This has been a game changer for walking with multiple dogs as I can keep their poop bags handy, have a place to store my phone and earbuds. I can slip my ID in as well and I'm covered for the day. The bag looks like a fairly simple waist bag that has plenty of room but sits slim against your body. I do with that there was a separate pocket to keep the poop bag rolls from unwinding inside or just keep your id from falling out when you reach for a treat. I almost want a divided pocket, one side for me, one side for Frolic. I already want to get an additional one for our other dog so that we can all go hands-free hiking together.

I've tried two other leashes of this general style and they both had the same basic flaw: they believed they knew how big their consumer's waist might be. I could get them on, but it was a nuisance, and I'm definitely at the upper end of what they planned for--and I know there are bigger people than me out their walking their dogs.The loop on the waist bag isn't meant for people my size and up, but the fact this leash has clips on both ends renders that irrelevant. I can hook it on a belt loop or add a carabiner to my belt to clip this into, or clip it on a d-ring on a rucksack and I'm good to go. It's a much more versatile design and a good iterative improvement that allows me to design my own comfort.However, I do wish it were more reflective/hi visibility. Even if it were just switching out the teal straps for bright yellow or green ones, it would be a massive improvement.
