Everything in this pen is great. Quality, packaging, ink flow, and writing experience. I have both Lamy Safari and TWSBI. TWSBI is much better writing experience. The ink flows seamlessly and very smooth. When you write long text, you can trust the pen. The ink keeps flowing without fading. It is highly recommended over other brand. You will not regret it.

It's easy to fill, it writes consistently, ita got a solid cap, it's thick, but not too thick, so it sits well on my average sized hand.I don't have a lot of fountain pen experience but this is my favorite of the ones I've used. I got it because it was a happy medium between inexpensive and quality and I used it to learn how to use a fountain pen. If you're looking, buy this one.

After hearing so many good things about the TWSBI Eco, I decided to get one for myself and see what all of the fuss was about. As a long time collector of fine writing instruments, I was pleasantly surprised with how well this pen performs. The pen itself is light but feels sturdy, which was refreshing compared to how delicate some of the precious resin pens feel by comparison. The F nib was smooth and wet, it felt great across budget scratch paper as well as high end Claire Fontaine paper without skipping. The design and overall look may not have piqued my interest immediately, however after seeing it posted online and holding one in person, it does feel simple and gives off a professional vibe. The filling piston is easy to use and doesn't move around unless intentionally twisted, the capacity is amazing, and the feel is thick and comfortable without feeling bulky; again this is where the feel of the pen excels for me, as the light weight, thickness and solid feel all combined with the silky smooth nib create a phenomenal writing experience!Highly recommended, and the shipping and tracking from TWSBI was fast and accurate! At this price, the TWSBI Eco is a must have for enthusiasts as well as those looking to purchase their first fountain pen.

Feels smooth and quality enough. It's made of plastic obviously, but seems quite strong and sturdy. Being able to see the ink is a nice touch. The plunger works well.

As a college student, this pen has quickly become my favorite. It's rare to find a pen that strikes a balance of (relative) affordability, function, and form to meet all of my needs perfectly, but this one does. The almost 2.0 mL ink chamber holds more than enough ink for me to use for notes across my classes for about a week and a half without refilling, and there are never hard stops or starts; it's always ready to use. I've faced no problems with leaks, and the cap screws on securely so there's no worry about ink leaking all over my backpack. The fine nib also lays down a good line, albeit a little wet. However, I've faced no problems with bleeding or smudging the ink as I write. In a classroom setting, this pen performs extraordinarily well. Despite its rather large size, I have yet to experience hand fatigue after prolonged periods of writing with this pen, or any irregularities in ink flow or performance. The only minor complaint I have is that even with a rubberized -ring at the back of the pen, the cap does not post well. A few times, the cap has fallen or even been flung a few feet from my desk because it wasn't secured well enough. Other times it works well, but it is hit or miss. Regardless, the pen is long enough that even without a posted cap it provides a comfortable experience. The pen body is made of a hard plastic which does not scratch easily, though the cap and the metal clip have sustained minimal scratches after a few months of use. It also doesn't hurt that this is a seriously good looking pen. The packaging this pen comes with includes a special plastic wrench to open the back of the pen, and silicon grease to apply to the threads. The plastic carrying case it arrived with is also high quality. All in all, this pen is a piston-filling demonstrator which is incredibly difficult, if not impossible, to find in this price range. This is the perfect pen for a student's lifestyle and has become my go-to writing tool of choice in the classroom.

I'm new to fountain pens and I tend to collect the cheap Jinhao pens, low end Pilot pens (kakuno), Nemosines and I also have a Lamy AlStar. This is my second TWSBI. I also bought the white ECO with the 1.1 stub nib, which I adore. I enjoy it ALMOST as much, but it is most definitely still worth the 5 star rating, though I did have a few hiccups with it at first. When I received it, I promptly filled it with Private Reserve Black Cherry, a fun dark red purple. I began writing to test and plop! A big drop of ink landed a few lines above. I thought maybe it was a fluke, wiped it up and went on, but the next two times I used the pen, it did the same thing. So I searched online to find out what might be the issue. I had cleaned the nib after filling, so that wasn't it. I already had another TWSBI, so I was reluctant to immediately think it was a problem requiring return and continued scouring the forums. It turns out it was a ridiculously easy fix: push the nib in just a little bit. I did and the problem appears to be resolved quickly and easily without return to the manufacturer.Pros:Large ink capacityEase of useSturdy materialSharp-looking penI love the demonstrator pensNib is high quality and delivers a nice lineEco-friendly, no cartridge waste. This does not come with ink. Remember to purchase some if you are completely new to fountain pens.Very nice price-point for a very nice pen that's sturdy enough to be an everyday carry and still elegant enough to make a statementQuick shippingSecure packaging (the box it comes in it pretty awesome. It is well-worth the money and it surpasses my expectations
