This aftermarket fan was a perfect replacement & actually very reasonably priced. Checking used parts at auto wreckers was not any less expensive. Why but an old one ready to burn out when you can buy a new one of good quality.

Fantastic deal on a new engine cooling fan. Fit my 2005 Honda CR-V, although the hood latch hardware had to be removed in order to get the fan installed in place.Just be aware that you will receive the FAN ONLY, it does not come with the special plastic zip ties & metal coil springs needed to secure the fan in place. You will need to order those separately.

Like another review said, this fan is a fraction of an inch deeper so I did have to remove the top radiator hose from the radiator. But it added almost no time. This was an easy fix and now it works great again!

Great secure packaging. This was for a 2004 Honda CRV LX where I was replacing the radiator fan (driver side) as well as the condenser (passenger side) fans. A YouTube video on a 2002 CRV indicated that if the condenser fan was removed first the radiator fan could be slipped over to the side (where the condenser fan was) and pulled out that way. That was right for the original fans although it was a bit of a tug to get the radiator fan out around the hood latch support. I found that this fan was 1/4" deeper on the back of the motor housing than the replacement and there was no way it was going back in the same way. So I ended up removing the battery so I could relocate the air intake housing and just dropped it straight down. I had checked both fans before installing with a 12 volt external source. Both have been purring along and keeping the engine cool and AC cold even with our mid-90s heat wave.

I installed both sides because you know the moment that one goes bad the other will too and as long as your in there why not replace both of them. It took us about 2 hour and we watched the Youtube video and did it right. It is a little loader but you don't hear if in the honda element 2007 over the music or talk raid. Also I just did a 400 mile roadtrip across the Arizona desert with no cooling issues. Save yourself a later swap out of the hardware and do them both.
