For work and personal purpose, I am always juggling multiple displays, high-speed data transfers, and a desk cluttered with peripherals, I’ve spent weeks putting the UGREEN Revodok Max 213 through its paces. Here’s my unfiltered take on whether this 13-in-1 Thunderbolt 4 dock deserves a spot on my workstation:Build & Design: Industrial Strength, Desktop HogThe first thing the user will notice is its heft: a solid aluminum chassis that screams durability. The matte gray finish blends seamlessly with my personal MacBook Pro and Studio Display setup. While the weight (1.7 lbs) and footprint (6×3.8 inches) make it less portable, the trade-off is excellent passive heat dissipation. Even during marathon 4K video editing sessions with dual monitors, it stayed cool to the touch. Vertical placement saves space, but horizontal stability feels more reassuring.Ports Galore (But Bring Your Own HDMI Adapter)The 13-port lineup is both impressive and slightly frustrating:- Dual Thunderbolt 4 (40Gbps): Perfect for daisy-chaining my NVMe SSD (2,800MB/s speeds) and dual 4K@60Hz displays.- 2.5Gb Ethernet: Great for transferring massive (60GB+) project files without suffering Wi-Fi bottlenecks.- SD/TF 4.0 Card Reader: Clocked 278MB/s reads with my UHS-II SD card, nearly matching standalone readers. The glaring omission? No HDMI port! I had to dig out a DisplayPort-to-HDMI dongle for my secondary monitor. Also, the front USB-A ports struggled with my 2.5-inch HDD (required using rear ports), and the headphone jack introduced slight audio latency during online meetings.Performance: Fast Speed With Occasional Hiccups- Multi-Display Workflow: Editing on dual 4K monitors was butter-smooth, but playing dual 4K YouTube videos caused rare frame drops.- Simultaneous Charging: The 90W PD kept my MacBook Pro alive during renders, though it occasionally dipped to 82W under heavy load. The front USB-C delivered promised 20W iPhone charging.- Bandwidth Limits: Copying files from an SSD while importing photos via SD card slowed transfers by 15~25%, this latency is expected with Thunderbolt’s shared bandwidth, but worth noting.Compatibility Quirks & Daily Use- Device Support: Flawless with my MacBook Pro and Lenovo ThinkPad. Refused to work with an older 2017 HP laptop.- Power Supply: The included 180W GaN charger is bulky but quiet. Cable length worked for my setup, though cable management became a puzzle with all connected peripherals.- Missing Features: No Kensington lock slot would probably make some user nervous during a public space working trial.Who Should Buy This?- You’re a video editor/3D artist needing dual 4K + fast storage.- Your workflow demands 2.5GbE and pro-grade SD card speeds.- You hate dongle sprawl and want a single-cable dock.Who Should Think Twice Before Buying?- Your monitor arsenal is HDMI-only (adapter life awaits).- You’re a casual user… this is overkill for email + Netflix.- Your laptop lacks Thunderbolt 4/USB4 (it’ll work at USB-C speeds, but defeats the purpose). My Final Verdict:The Revodok docking station feels robust, versatile, and unapologetically niche. It’s not perfect (yes, missing HDMI), but when you’re knee-deep in 8K footage or compiling code across monitors, its flaws fade against raw utility. Just make sure your gear plays nice with Thunderbolt’s demands.

This is an excellent dock to have at your workstation. It feels solid in-hand, with what seems like anodized aluminum, nicely built. You can stand it upright or lay it flat, I’ve gone with flat, which fits better in my setup. The port selection is the real star here. It’s got a healthy mix of USB-A and USB-C (finally, most docks skip one or the other), and it even includes a DisplayPort 1.4 instead of the usual HDMI. I love that. It’s been flawless at 4K, and while I haven’t tested 8K yet, that’s more on me for not having the right monitor.... yet.All the USB-C ports have worked well for both data transfer and video out, tested at 4K with no issues at all. It also plays nicely with both my MacBook Pro (M3 chip) and my Windows PC. Zero hiccups. The 2.5Gb Ethernet port is a nice touch, too. My office tops out at 1.5Gb, and this dock hits that speed without breaking a sweat. I also really like the power button, saves wear and tear by letting you shut the dock off when it’s not in use.File transfers are fast and the unit doesn’t overheat, even when moving larger files. It also comes with its own power supply, which is a bit on the chunky side, but the cord is long enough to hide it under your desk easily.Overall, another excellent product from UGREEN. If you're looking to upgrade your setup, this one's a solid choice.

I really needed a docking station in my studio for my Mac mini and this was perfect. Say I want something that I can hook up external hard drives to that’s also gonna be fast enough to go back-and-forth to the Mac mini, which this is. It’s also perfect because it allows me to run multiple screens out of it as well. With the Mac mini as it is, I’m only able to run one screen out with HDMI and another screen not using the thunderbolt, but this way I was able to run everything out through the dock. I’ve gotten a lot of docking stations and I kind of wish I had this one from the office as well, because it’s so much better than my old dock. The docking station is also good for cameras web cams. It’s fast enough that there’s no delay as if you were plugged directly into your computer. Although if you’re running something like a cam link to a DSLR camera, you’re still gonna have issues with that there’s not a dock I found that doesn’t. But because I’m using a dock, I have a Freeport so I can use the camera link directly with my DSLR camera and I don’t have to worry about any delays.

This Thunderbolt dock by UGREEN is has some very nice features built into it, but there are a couple of things to be aware of. The number of connection options is quite good. From a video perspective however, this only has one dedicated video output and it is a DisplayPort. My main monitors DP is already in use. I plugged a DP to HDMI adapter into this and it works perfectly fine. One very IMPORTANT feature to be aware of is what type of the port is present on the laptop/computer you are plugging the dock into. If the USB port on the laptop/computer you are connecting to is a full-function USB C port (i.e. NOT a Thunderbolt connection) the dock will only support a SINGLE display (as described in manual and confirmed in testing) . It does not matter what other type of connection you use (i.e. USB C to HDMI adapter, USB C monitor cable etc) the dock will only support one monitor. I did find this a bit odd for a dock in this price range. It is truly built to function with Thunderbolt capable laptop/pc. In that scenario, multiple displays are not an issue.Another item to be aware of is the maximum power output on this is limited to 90W. This is sufficient for my use on the two laptops I have connected this to, but there are laptops that this will not be enough power for and they may complain that they are connected to an inadequate power source, or not be able to maintain a full charge under load.I do like the mix or front of rear ports on this. The SD card slots on the front are easily accessible (nice if you do a lot of work with trail cameras or photography) and the PD 20W/10Gbps USB C port on the front is also very convenient for connecting your phone to both transfer data and charge. The USB A ports on the front I don't really use very often except for occasionally connecting a headset when my cordless one has died. I do like the power button on the front as it does help to reduce phantom power consumption. The rear ports include 2x USB A (5Gbps) connections (good for keyboard/mouse) the DP, the power port, 2 Thunderbolt 4 outputs and the Thunderbolt/USB C input for the laptop you are connecting to. Finally, there is a network connection as well. I really like that this is a multi-gig connection rather than just a 1gig network interface (I would expect this on a dock at this price). This has a 2.5Gbps network interface. This is an expensive dock, and the benefit of such a device is really only realized with the correct equipment in place. If your laptop and monitors are Thunderbolt capable this is a great accessory to pair with them. If not however, there are limitations, especially in the area of multi-display scenarios, to be aware of. For one of my laptops, this works very well, for the other (a work laptop) it is not optimal with only one screen output.

The dock is built entirely of solid metal. It weighs approximately 1.75 pounds. The housing is mostly flat steel but towards the back there’s ribbed steel with an air gap for heat dissipation from internal components to the exterior. I see rubber feet on both the bottom and side for horizontal or vertical placement. The dock has many input and output options. On the front, there are two USB-A ports (3.2), one USB-C port (3.2) with 20W power delivery, an SD card slot, a TF card slot, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Plus, I have a circular power button to turn on and off the dock. On the back, there is one Thunderbolt 4 port for connecting to a laptop (with 90W power delivery), two Thunderbolt 4 ports for peripherals or displays, one DisplayPort supporting up to 8K @ 30Hz resolution, two USB-A ports (3.0), an RJ45 Ethernet port (2.5Gbps), and the 21V DC power input. I have frequently accessed ports on the front and less commonly used ones on the back. The Thunderbolt 4 ports support dual 4K @ 60Hz or single 8K @ 30Hz displays, along with daisy-chaining capabilities. I connected a 4K monitor via DisplayPort and an 8K television through one of the Thunderbolt ports. Both work as expected without noticeable issues. I also connected an external SSD with transfer speeds up to 40Gbps via Thunderbolt 4. Speeds are consistent at approximately 2799 MB/s read and 2843 MB/s write when no monitor is connected. When the monitor is powered on, write speeds drop slightly to around 1700 MB/s while read speeds remained stable. The Ethernet port gives me faster speeds compared to Wi-Fi and no dropped connections. The dock uses a switching mode power adapter rated at 180W (21V, 8.57A). The adapter has two cables – one connecting to the AC outlet, about 57 inches long, and the other connecting to the DC port of the dock, around 37 inches. The combined length is more or less 94 inches.I quickly noticed the SD card slots are spring-loaded for easy insertion and removal. The dock powers on automatically when connected to a laptop and I see a small LED light on the front panel. I don’t have to second-guess which connection is what – each one is clearly labeled.I noticed Thunderbolt ports can result in minor speed reductions when I have multiple devices connected simultaneously. But I haven’t encountered any other issue. It just works and it’s fully plug-n-play.On both the power adapter and the dock I see it’s made in China and both have CE, FCC and UKCA certifications. Additionally, the power adapter also has a TÜV certification.

First thing is first, this is a heavy duty, industrial strength piece of equipment. The price is kind of high for something that just serves as a docking station, but I can assure you it is built like a tank. The frame is constructed a heavy duty steel all the way around, with laser cut openings into the ports. On the front, there are:Two USB-A (3.2) portsOne USB-C (3.2) port with 20W chargingAn SD card slotA TF (microSD) card slotA 3.5mm headphone jackA round power button to turn the dock on or offOn the back, you'll find:One Thunderbolt 4 port to connect to your laptop (with 90W charging)Two Thunderbolt 4 ports for other devices or displaysOne DisplayPort that supports up to 8K at 30HzTwo USB-A (3.0) portsAn Ethernet port (2.5Gbps)A DC input for power (21V)The ports you use most often are on the front, while the ones you don’t need as much are on the back.Using a Thunderbolt 4 port(s), you can support two 4K displays at 60Hz or one 8K display at 30Hz, and you can connect devices in a daisy-chaining. I use a Mac Book Air M3 as my central device. It is attached to the UGreen with a single Thunderbolt cable. To the dock I connected a 8K monitor to the DisplayPort and an 4K OKED TV to a Thunderbolt port (with an adapter) and both worked great. I also connected an external SSD using Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) and got fast transfer speeds of about 2.8 GB/s read and write. A 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port at this price is good and expected. The dock comes with a 180W power adapter (21V, 8.57A). The adapter has two cables: one that goes to the wall (about 57 inches long), and one that connects to the dock (around 37 inches). Combined, the cables are about 94 inches long. The SD card slots are spring-loaded, so cards go in and out easily. The dock turns on automatically when you plug it into your laptop, and there’s a small LED light on the front. All the ports are clearly labeled, so it’s easy to find the one you need. When I connect several devices to the Thunderbolt ports at the same time, speeds can drop a bit, but everything still works fine. It’s fully plug-and-play — just connect it and you’re good to go. What more could you want in a dock! Highly recommended.
