A friend gave me a VHF but he did not have a charger. This one arrived quickly & plugs in the VHF and works fine.

The electrical output is 6VDC, 2A according to the printing on the AC Adaptor. However, the barrel plug doesn't fit well into the IC-M24 radio. If you jam it in hard, it will charge the radio for a little while but it slips out of the radio if you just touch it. If you're trying to charge your radio overnight, it's hard to be confident that it will be charged in the morning.
