The thread kept tangling and snapping from the tension as it winds. Would have been nice to have a control to increase or decrease the speed/tension.

This bobbin winder did not work - at first. If a large spool of thread was used, it worked fine. When I tried to wind an Aurifil spool onto a bobbin, the spool and the bobbin were jumping all over the place. I tried manually holding the spool down, which did work. I eventually found a "spool holder" which holds the Aurifil spool or the regular size spool for general purpose sewing. If the manufacturer would include the small spool holder in the package, it would be a big upgrade.The motor seems to work just fine. It seems strong and smooth.

It takes a little practice. Good instructions are included. It took me some time to figure it out, but it works well.

it wouldn't fit the bobbins I wanted to wind, I'm not sure what size it would fit because the hole the bobbin would fit over is so big

This bobbin winder is very fast and saves me a lot of time not having to unthread and rethread in the middle of a project. I’ve only had it ten days so far but am very happy with it. I would recommend it.
