5 star for the product itself... BUT IT WILL NOT FIT ALL 742 Woodsmaster VERSIONS!This item fits standard wood of synthetic wood only. It will not fit a 742 woodsmaster DELUXE, which has the nicer wood, particularly the larger squared off forend with the basket weaver design. This forend is angled at the tip where this bolts go and the spacers are not deep enough. If you try to add more spacers for the swivel to clear the forend cap where the bolt goes, then the bolt in this kit is too short to reach the gas block threads. "Except BDL" IS STATED ON THE PRODUCT PACKAGE ITSELF, BUT ITS VERY SMALL.

easy installation on a Remington 721 woodsmaster. the Uncle Mike's swivels will be the only thing on the firearm that will work as it should besides the 40 year old weaver scope. the stock needs to be drilled with a bigger bit first (to countersink the hole) and a smaller bit for the screw to follow. the forearm screw fit perfectly in place and it came with 2 different sized spacers.

Finding quality parts for older firearms is hard to do sometimes...then when you do you have to hope everything will work correctly. To my great surprise, this worked 100% as expected. The quality was fantastic and the install was simple thanks to the detailed instructions. The front end bolt was a little bit longer than the stock on on my Remington woods-master 742 cambered in 30-06 but installs and functions perfectly, the real test will be when iI take it out elk/deer hunting this fall. If you are looking for a wonderful product, this is worth it! 5 stars!

This is the way to get a carry sling on your 742 Remington. The older two piece forend screws are harder to get loose from the forend, but the new part supplied here works quite well. I'd like it better if the swivels were sold separately because the ones in the package are 1" loops and I use 1-1/4" on my guns.
