Wanted to attach a small camera to my cats collar to see she is up to an where she goes . The ad shows it with cat collars as a set would be great if you have a mountain lion aa a pet cat or a great Dane. There is NO WAY YOU CAN PUT THIS ON A DOMESTIC CAT ! DEFINITELY going back on Monday.

Our dogs were getting into something in our yard that left them sticky. We couldn't figure out what they were getting into! Strapped this on them, and after the first photo dump we saw where they were going! No video, just pictures but for $10 we weren't expecting video. You can set the timer for a pic every 1, 5, or 15 mins. Holds 40 pics. After that you use the USB provided to upload to your PC, and start again. This was entertainment if nothing else. We have a good laugh seeing what the dogs look at lol.

After my first use, I downloaded the photos and deleted them. However, the camera still acted as if it had full memory. There was no solution for this in the manual, so I googled solutions. Unfortunately, every result was for cameras with sd cards, which this product does not have. After being disappointed for a day, I decided to google how to format a memory stick or hard drive, since my computer appeared to be reading it as such, and found this solution for mac computers:Connect the hard drive or USB key to the Mac Launch Disk Utility, located in Applications > UtilitiesLocate the drive name from the left hand side of Disk Utility and click on it Click on the “Erase” tab across the topClick erase at the bottom of this tab(There is a similar solution for windows computers involving the My Computer application)This successfully wiped the memory of the camera and enabled me to use it again. Now every time I use the camera, I clear it this way and have no problems. The pictures are the quality you would expect, blurry if the animal is moving, better quality in brighter areas, etc. I use it on my 10-15lb outdoor cats, and they aren't bothered by it at all. They don't try to dislodge it and so far they always bring it home (to be safe, I try to call them back after about 40 minutes when I expect the memory to be full). It's durable but not bulky and its interesting to see where the cats go when they go outside.Overall a fun gadget for the price once I worked out the memory issue.

This runs on regular batteries, and takes about 27 somewhat low resolution pictures. The only way to view them is to connect it to your computer. More durable then I thought, and better then the last pet cam I purchased. I purchased this one to attach to a balloon. It proved a little to heavy for a balloon or most cats, but after multiple tries managed to get it aloft on a kite on a very windy day, yielding some slightly blurry but fun photos. It should be easy for most dogs to carry.

Wonderful, but certainly a toy.I purchased this as a present for my father- we have very active dogs that will disappear for hours into the woods and we thought it would be neat to see what was going on. I purchased this knowing it was a toy, has no flash, and does not work in low light conditions. That's fine; the pictures were surprisingly clear and it was just fun to see what our mutts saw. In fact, two or three of the photos came out well enough that I had them printed! One of our dogs may be cut out to be a puparizzi (ha ha ha- I hate myself for that one). However, we were so happy and pleased! It worked well enough for an eight-buck toy camera and we could laugh at the photos.Cut to four months later. The camera started to constantly fall off collars. Ok, we just bought a special collar and secured it with tape, glue, and hope. Wouldn't recommend doing that, by the way- the whole clip could just snap off. But alright, one problem down. Then, the camera slowly stopped working. We had to keep putting it on the 1 minute setting and clearing it off right away when it got full. When we tried the five minute setting, it took seven photos then blinked like it was full. Ok, let's just try the 15 minute setting. One of our dogs sported it during the Easter egg hunt; two photos came out.The camera read as full- but only two pics. That dog was everywhere with the kids, playing. The kids would pose when the red light flashed, hamming it up. We were pretty excited about it all. So when two pictures (of the car ride back) where the only things on the memory, I was probably a little more disappointed than the situation called for. So was the dog.The last time we tried it, no pictures took. And yes- I changed the batteries a few times, just to make sure it was ok. Eventually, the little red light just remained on all the time, not blinking to indicate pictures or battery life or memory. So... Broken. Is it the end of the world? Nah. We had fun with it. It worked pretty well for only seven different times, however- then broke. Is it a rip-off? No, not overly. Will I buy another? No- at least not this brand. It's a fun toy, a novel idea, and if you buy it for nine dollars it's not that bad. But I won't recommend a product that tears up so soon.
