Il prodotto rispecchia la descrizione, e' robusto ma non troppo pesante da trasportare, l'ho montata su un piccolo treppiede e fa il suo dovere, movimenti precisi e fluidi.

Major issue is with the ArcaSwiss. ALL my plates from DIFFERENT makers WOBBLE. The main problem is the two recesses at each end of the Arca mount are NOT deep enough for the safety screw's heads. Might explain why an ArcaSwiss plate is not provided. In addition, the angle machined on the ArcaSwiss is WRONG and does not mesh properly. Next issue; the range is NOT 150mm as stated in the description. Travel is only 100mm and this is hindered by the side of the mount being curved on one end. The edge on the 100mm side does NOT line up with the scale because it is CURVED for the finger recesses. The other side it does because it is perpendicular to the scale. Should have skipped the artsy finger recess design, and just made the thing SQUARE. Then it would line up with the scale properly, The screw works great and has expected 1/4 turn of backlash, but if stacking this is not an issue since the screw would be turning the same way for each frame. The unit itself is quite well made and has very little if any play unlike a Manfro slide I have which is awful and must be locked down.Workarounds:1. Grind down the head of the Arca plates safety screws about 1/2 mm. This will allow the plate to sit flat and snug up fully. However, not only the plates with the screws ground down will fit properly.2.Only use for movement in one direction else note there is play when reversing direction. However, this is a simple lead screw and is NOT a zero-backlash device. Would work OK for stacking on the Y axis.3.With the scale, make a mark on the big knob and note than one revolution is one mm of travel.

I think this rail has a superior design and build quality compared to other brands I've seen in

The good: The arca dove tail groove and the quick release plate intergrate well with other equipment. There is a clutch that you can press down to release the mechanism for quick movement. However, it all went downhill from there. The rail motion is ok by itself but with a camera and lens mounted, it is so stiff and difficult to turn. Also, it clicks and slips. The rail has so much resistance; by the time it finally moves, my whole setup jerked, which made focus stacking impossible. The interface of the unit seems to be well designed and built but the movement, which is the core of a focusing rail, is sadly not.

Delivery was around three weeks earlier than expected, first impressions are that it is solid precise well-made and in no way flimsy. The moving parts fit together excellently with no play either when locked or when being adjusted. The finish is nice. It has a little weight to it, but it is all metal and to me that is a sign of quality. A full turn of the knob seems to equate to about a mm of travel. The instructions are basic, but it is not difficult to get to grips with. It would be nice if it came with a quick release plate but for the price it should not be a deal breaker. I paid the cheaper price direct from the manufacturer, there were some available sooner at a little higher price and having now seen the quality the difference in price would have been acceptable if I had wanted it sooner. I have yet to try it with the camera, but I do not see any problems. All in all, for the price it's a decent bit of kit, would definitely recommend.

Cumple su funcion perfectamente. La única pega que lepongo es que es muy pesado. Deberían haber usado materiales mas ligeros. PEro por el resto me parace una muy buena compra

I got this to upgrade from one of the ~$20 no-name cheapies that I started with. This is a high quality piece of kit - all-metal, exquisite machining, tight tolerances, smooth action. It's almost a work of art. If you appreciate precision machining work, you will appreciate this. Be aware your tripod head/copy stand/whatever will need to be setup with an Arca-Swiss/RRS type dovetail clamp (40mm) if it's not already. Highly recommended if you are looking for a macro rail. 5/5 stars

Excellent rail! I am always skeptical of items that have 100% satisfaction rating, but it seems warranted here. I just received this and it is very well made and smooth to operate. It is light weight but doesn't seem to flex or have any backlash on the worm gear. Speaking of that, this has a steel worm gear and metal "shoe" (not sure the technical term for it) that rides on it. When you push in on the release on the side, the shoe moves away from the worm gear and you can move the whole assembly forward or back quickly. It has a friction knob on the side, but being a worm drive I don't know why. They are not prone to slipping. As to weight handling: I am using a Fuji X-E1 with a Vivitar Series 1 90 macro and there are no issues. I know that is no where near what the spec says this is rated for, but that's what I use and the rail works perfect with it. Very happy with this item.

Works as advertised. My only complaint is the stiff action from the screws.

I don't write many reviews although I do a lot of Amazon shopping, but the quality of this Macro Focusing Rail by Shoot is way beyond what I expected. Being a mechanical engineer, I appreciate a well made product and this is one. The manufacturing quality of the IS-MFR150 is what you would expect from a custom machine shop. It is almost to the level that you want to put it on display. The assembly of the screw drive mechanism is spot on with no backlash what soever. The movement is extremely smooth, something you would not expect in a product costing so little. I am using an Olympus OM-D EMI MKII with the accessory battery holder and the OLY 60mm macro lens weighing in at 3 lb 4 oz, which the macro focusing rail supported with no problem. I'm not sure how it would perform with a heavier camera/lens combo. However, It does appear to be able to hold and focus a heavier camera/lens combo. I'm sure you can find many macro focusing rails costing much much more than the Shoot unit, but quality wise, this is near the top.

This is my first detailed review. I paid full price; therefore I am not doing this because I was given the rail for free or discounted. I am doing it because I am thrilled by the quality of the rail and I think that any company that produces good quality items deserves to be recognized so they can keep offering good quality items at a reasonable price. The rail came on time, and it came well packed. As I took it from the package I could see the quality in the finishing, this is solid metal, precisely machined and with a very nice finishing, highly visible rulers allow you to see how much the rail moves. I will recommend to mount the rail using an Arca style clamp, however it does have what looks like a 6 mm threaded hole on the base to mount directly to the tripod head. You will need a quick release plate Arca compatible to mount your camera since the rail does not come with one.The only sort of negative comment I can make of the rail is that the knob for opening the clamp for the quick release plate, is quite close to the rail and if you have thick fingers like me it can be a little uncomfortable. There is an easy solution, you move the base to the end pressing the lever and the knob is easy accessible. Additionally, I cannot see any way to improve the design without making it extremely bulky. The rail uses as screw to move the base where the camera mounts, it is not a rack and pinion like some other focusing rails of other brands, this allows a very fine control on the movement, approximately 2 mm per turn. You can make a coarse adjustment of the base pushing the lever on the side; this disengages the threaded "rider" from the screw. Even when I do not think it is easy to accidentally press the lever, there is an additional safety feature where rotating the lever 90 degrees counter clockwise it lock it position and you cannot press it so you cannot accidentally move it. As an extra safety you have a screw with a knob that allows you to fix the position of the base, I guess this may be necessary if you have some heavy camera lens combination mounted on a steep angle. The clamp where you mount the quick release plate is really wide allowing around 50 mm of lateral movement, perpendicular to the movement of the rail. This helps to center the subject on the sensor. If you want more lateral control you can easily mount a second rail on top of the first, but the generous 50 mm head allows good lateral control itself. As the entire unit, the clamp is extremely well built and it has sort of a "tongue", almost as wide as the clamp, that gets into a grove that ensures the clamp lip cannot rotate around the screw that opens and closes it.In the attached pictures I tried to show the details I talked about, you will see some whitish grease covering the screw and the rider, this is a lithium grease I applied, the unit came lubricated properly, however I just wanted to be sure that the lubrication will last so I added some extra grease.I used the rail for a few test shots and I could not be happier with the results, I even made my first focus stacking image and I loved the result.I sincerely recommend this rail, and to be honest if the other IShoot products are like this I can see myself buying more IShoot product in the future.

This is a well-made unit - nicely finished and smoothly functioning. There is little side-to-side play, and what does exist. is constant along the length of the rails. There is a little hysteresis in the drive screw - as you change direction of travel, there is a small amount of "lost motion". This can be overcome by steadily approaching your final focus point from one direction, if very fine and constant increments are needed (as in focus stacking). For more general work, the precision of the device is quite adequate. The design of this unit uses a screw drive, while many others in its price range use a rack and pinion mechanism, which is faster to move but it is less precise. This is a good performer at a reasonable price.
