I have a variety of Cricut and third party pens I like to use and the original pen holder just doesn't work for all of them. But this adapter is awesome, super easy to install and it holds everything in perfect alignment. It's affordable and works with all the pens I've tried and the included measurement tool means you know for certain that whatever pen you use is at the correct height. The tool is a little tricky to maneuver around the rollers but it gets easier with practice. I'm so happy with this, it adds a lot of versatility to my Maker.

I really enjoyed this product. It came in its own little plastic case with a calibration piece and clear, simple instructions with plenty of diagrams.The explanation on how to remove the extant marker clip was clear, but this process was the only difficult part. It took me a couple minutes to get my fingers in the right place to remove the original pen holder. After that, it was a matter of dropping this product in the slot and clamping it in place.The clamp was a little challenging to shut again, but once it was shut, the unit was ready to go. The ease of the calibration surprised me. I accidentally got sharpie on my calibration piece. Oops.I ran four different pens through this test.The top is a blue sharpie marker with a fine tip.Second is a purple Pentel EnerGel with a size 0.7 tip. This pen has always been a little "skippy", so don't mind the broken lines. That is entirely the pen, not the unit.The third is a green Pilot Precise V5 with an extra fine tip.The fourth is a 3B hardness sketching pencil.I can tell you that large barrel markers or highlighters won't fit in this adaptor. The max width an object can be is slightly under 0.5 inch.As you can see, all the tested items worked well, and calibration on each was minimal, but did have to be performed before each use. Overall, I am thrilled with this object and have permanently replaced my original marker holder with it.

I have a Cricut Maker. I wanted to be able to use other pens since I have quite a few of them and got tired of buying Cricut brand items. This works and fits great, but the instructions are not accurate for all machines and it would be nice if they specified in easy to read text which machines the instructions should be used for. I thought I was doing something wrong at first during installation when the sizing bracket thing wasn't sitting in the right spot.

A great option to be able to use any pen instead of being stuck with the Cricut brand. Save a lot of money too. It comes with a nice carrying case and instructions for installing without damaging your Cricut. A great addition to any crafters belt.

The clamp only fixes the pen on one axis, no left and right when writing

I have so many different markers, pens, and other tools that I can use with my Cricut but not all of them would fit with the original holder. They still don't ALL fit, even with this, but I've expanded my options a lot. The instructions are acceptable and the implements do stay in place while in use. I am really glad I ordered it for use with my Cricut Maker.
