My existing bath fan was over 60 years old. I was worried about finding a new one with a case to fit the cutout in the wall. When I realized I could just change out the motor and impeller, it was an easy choice. The new fan shaft was about 1/8 inch longer than the old one, so I had to drill a small hole in the back of the case so it won't rub. All done in 20 minutes!

Bought one of these to replace our old vent fan (model 696ND-B). Looking at the old fan, the spindle on the replacement was facing the wrong way but it was easy to swap (unscrew the two black screws, swap the grey metal housings, reinstall the screws). After that, it fit perfectly. It's a little quieter than the old one, too.It's a bare bones motor, with no extra parts which suited me fine since I reused the original locknuts. No instruction manual either, but doesn't really need one IMHO. It's a good value and easy to replace the motor without having to get an entirely new unit

Had to modify installation by using spacers so shaft wouldn't be pinched against case. Seemed to have worked.

Not the strongest fan but it works. Pay attention to the plug in in case you need a flat one to make sure you cover fits back over properly.

Not exactly what it is compared to the picture shown but none the less, it is almost identical to the old one I had. Just had to mount it a bit differently than the old motor on my bathroom fan housing. Quieter than my old one. Took me 15 mins to install (like I said, mounted differently compared to the old fan motor) but it works perfectly. Fast shipping and good price.
