1. Fix the side bracket onto the stereo with screws.
2. Mount the cage from the back of the unit, and clip it into the bracket.
Disassemble Guide:
Release the unit from the cage by the keys and pull the cage backwards.

It is 1/4 inch smaller than a regular 2 din dash kit. It does the job but be careful when fitting your car stereo in there. Don't force it.

I used this for a new install of an inexpensive box store Dual brand car stereo in an RV. It was the perfect install kit. No instructions included but it didn't take more than 5 minutes to figure it out. Installed in plywood wall. It looks like a factory install - as good as any RV factory unit I've seen.

this universal double din cage kit worked great for my pioneer AVH 2800. there are many holes in very strategic places increasing its versatility. the little tabs in front worked great in my application as well as they help to hold the head unit in place. would def use again

I installed a double din radio in my 91 Daihatsu Rocky, and the opening in the dash is an oddity, in the fact that it's just BARELY big enough for the radio itself to slip in.All the cages that come with radios are roughly 4 1/2 inches tall, which will not work if you have a dash opening that is smaller. Usually there is a 1/2 inch gap at the top and bottom of the cage between the radio, and there are little bumps inside of it that support the radio.This cage is flush with the radio exterior, and allows it to slip into the smaller dash openings in the rare instance that you have one of them.The black trim ring that comes with it is totally useless, and doesn't have any hooks on it to hold it on place, so just chuck it in the trash and use one that was designed for the actual radio.As others have said, it doesn't come with instructions, but the little plates just screw onto the sides of the head unit as it shows on the pictures, and the little tabs just lock into place on the cage when you slide the radio in. It allows you to adjust both the plate, as well as the tabs forward and back, to put the radio wherever you want it to go.It may not work for alot of standard dashboards, but this totally solved my problem!
