Put it on the chair and once again I can recline. Works perfectly. Just wish the cord to plug in the wall was a little longer. Otherwise it works perfectly.

I didn’t know these were universal! My Mom had a massive stroke in her recliner and passed shortly after. This cord was thrown away by a thoughtless jerk and for years her recliner sit motionless, my granddaughter sits in it every day but it didn’t work!! . ! Igot her chair at JC Penny’s and they were no help and I thought I’d need the model number but I didn’t, it was a very magical moment when I plugged this in 10 years later and her recliner started moving again!! My granddaughter enjoys it!!

When you have an old living room set (9 years old but in excellent shape) and the recliners get used every day they do become inoperable.Now please note: anyone can change these out! No need for an expensive furniture repair service call. For my set from a large furniture store all you do is flip it down (mine is a sectional but I didn’t interlock them; so if they are interlocked you probably have to lift it a few inches and move it off the retainers)Anyway , laying forward on the headrest, you can see the connection. Just a simple unplug and reinstall. A few minutes of effort.I really like that both cables are provided even though I just replaced the controller.I just took the old one out; looked on Amazon for the product; looked at my choices; and selected this one because it had everything (for just in case I had bad cables)I’ve been running it through a ruff repetitive test for two weeks; extended and retracted as many times as I can each day; and it had been flawless!5-stars all the way
