The kids are obsessed with these. One kid is 7, the other is 3, and I (34) use the 3rd one. Kids have no complications using them. Arrived with no damage, all properly packaged. Box was pretty small so these aren't huge but read description as all measurements are accurate. I'll be purchasing another set, the more the merrier.

I wrapped these individually for my niece and two nephews, all 1st graders for Christmas. I had already put batteries in (AAA) and of all the wonderful, expensive gifts given by their parents and grandparents, the ones that got played with right away was these.They feel lightweight and probably won't last forever in the hands of these active, outdoorsy children, but they were simple enough that they didn't need any instructions to start using them right away. I say it's a win.
