I recently received the Upgraded Dog Bark Deterrent Device, and I'm impressed with its effectiveness! This rechargeable ultrasonic trainer offers a safe and humane way to address unwanted barking. The 50ft range works well, and the three different modes allow me to customize the training approach for my dog. I appreciate the LED light, which is useful for nighttime use. It's easy to operate and rechargeable, eliminating the need for constant battery replacements. So far, it has been effective in reducing my dog's excessive barking, creating a more peaceful environment for everyone. Overall, I highly recommend this anti-barking device for dog owners looking for a gentle yet effective solution.

The battery life for this is really nice, it does not need to be charged often. It's easy to use and charge and it's nice that it uses sound instead of shocking. This may work well for less stubborn dogs. My dogs love to be heard though. We've been using this for over a week now. I know my dogs can hear it and don't like it, however, so far it just makes them bark even more when it's used. We will continue to use it for a little while longer and I will update if needed.

I actually got this for the neighbors' 7 dogs. They bark at me nonstop when I'm in my own backyard, garage and the backside of my house. They have been a huge disturbance to the neighborhood and my quality of life for two years. We are making headway and being consistent is just as important. I am shocked and relieved this working.

Update:This thing still feels like a dollar store toy, but we've had it sitting by our door for a few weeks now, and when the delivery drivers show up, once I've let her alert for a second, we say "thank you" and all I have to do is pick up this thing up, and our pup sits and looks at me instead of barking her head off. She does not like me to hit that sound button at all. Like any training device, timing, encouragement and lots of positive reinforcement are necessary for it to be effective, but wow, I'm totally surprised at how well this is working for us. I've upped my star rating from 3 to 4 - it's not a five because I still think 6 seconds is too long a duration for it to go off -you can tell it's still disturbing her even after she stops barking; and the directions are still so vague.So I'm not totally sure about this device. I got it because our pup has a habit of barking at visitors even after we've told her to stop. I'd like her to stop when we ask her, and thought this might help with that training, so thought we'd give it a go. But when we got it, there are things I'm not thrilled about. First, on the box and in the instructions, it has a lot of things that are contradictory to what it says about it on its Amazon page. It also feels and looks kind of cheap - on par with a dollar store toy. I've taken a picture of the box it came in and instruction sheet. The box shows that it isn't meant for dogs over 50 lbs, but the page says it "Works on Every Dog, Every Undesirable Behavior". It also says that it is "a small USA business" but the box and instructions have a lot of the tell tale signs that they are badly interpreted from another language into English. So those are a few red flags that I noticed. The instructions are also not super clear about what happens when you press all of the buttons - not something I'm feeling great about exposing my dog to. For instance, this is that it says about pushing the LED button it sets off the ultrasonic emitters for a total of 9 seconds as well as turing on a white light, and that there is a vibration motor.What has happened so far operating the device - first, there is no white light and no vibration that I can see no matter what buttons I push. However, when I do push the "ultrasonic" button, my dog reacts - and now I feel guilty. She jumped up, came to me, and sought comfort, like she'd done something wrong. It also seems to last longer than a quick blip - I don't like that I don't have control over the duration of the sound correction - in dog training, timing is very important, and the sound should go away as soon as she stops the undesired behavior. It is also interesting to note that our girl is over 50 lbs, and did react to the button being pushed, so maybe the box is wrong and the product page is accurate? I"m not sure. Irregardless, I will not be testing any other features of the device out while my dog is in the area, as I don't want to make her uncomfortable for no reason. Since she did react to it, I will try out some training with it and see how that goes and will update my review when I have.

This thing really works! I have two smallish (20 and 25 lb) Aussiedoodles. They are alert barkers, and while it’s not excessive, I do need to be able to get them to stop quickly sometimes, especially since I live in a condo and don’t want to disturb the neighbors (not to mention I WFH and often have conference calls!). This thing works so much better than yelling “no.” They stop barking the instant I push the button. I know it says the device only works for one dog (not sure why) but it works for both of mine; which is great because when one barks, the other starts.The sound definitely bothers them so this is NOT a substitute for training and not to be used excessively. But used judiciously and responsibly as part of a training program, it’s fantastic! Very happy I got this and I’m sure my neighbors are too!

Got this in an attempt to deter neighbors' dogs that CONSTANTLY bark when outside. I used it as I was rolling by in the car, window down, about 10 ft away from the fence (that housed the dogs on the other side). With two small dogs and a larger mutt, this did less than nothing...it actually seemed to anger the large dog.Even the two smaller dogs paid no attention whatsoever to it. I was expecting something with a higher frequency range so that it could not be heard with human ears. This just seems to beep and flash a few LEDS that honestly did more to annoy me than the dogs.I tried it on a few occasions (on the neighbor dogs) without any change in results. I had a friend with a medium-sized dog (but not over the 50lbs specified NOWHERE in the description, but in the instructions) and I tried it on him and he paused for a moment to to look at it, confused as to why I was beeping at him, and then started barking at it. I will admit that he got so annoyed with me that he left the room, but gave me a final bark as if to tell me where I could put my new toy.This may be effective as a "dog trainer", in close proximity with conditioning, but does not come close as a barking deterrent.
