Got it to really help with the dust and humidity. The humidity was alot more important to me though. I still had trouble breathing and still received plenty of allergy issues. It also still made my house very very humid. Used the hose and connector piece though and had much more success with simply drilling a hole through the wall of my house and sticking it out so thanks for that I suppose lol. Good idea, I think I just executed it incorrectly

Perfect solution for my garage. I got this for my dryer, our old one died out, we got a new one but I came to the reality that the old one wasn't connected to anything air wise it was just a crusty hose on the floor. I got this, mounted it to the old drywall, and it works perfectly. This was easy to install as the photo instructions were very helpful, again installing the wall mount was easy in fact I did it by hand. My garage is old, hardly indoors, but the vent does filter out the stove smell of my dryer though I did enjoy the stove feel of it.

I installed it myself in just a few minutes. Good quality. Effective. Blows clean, dry heat. Adds good amount of heat to the house! No lint escapes into the air. Highly recommend

I don't know how many people the issue have I did, but this is a great solution to an expensive problem. I've bought vent extension cleaners and paid two workmen to clean a really crazy dryer vent that was a potential hazard. One guy I paid cleaned out the linear portion of the vent with extension rods and a vacuum. Still, the dryer was taking two or three times the amount of time it used to take to dry. After spending a few hundred for the first cleaning, I paid someone else to go up to the attic and clean the pipe there. It cost me another hundred to open the vent pipe and clean it out to the place where it came outside. A lot of the lint broke loose and after running the dryer some it came out to the vent exit and I had it cleared there a few times. The dryer is working now, but I don't want to spend that much on labor the next time.My issue comes from when I bought the house, it had a basement laundry, and I don't climb stairs well. Even worse today as my legs are weaker than back then. I wanted a ranch house, and didn't mind the basement but told the realtor that I wanted a first-floor laundry. He wasn't going to even show this house because the laundry was in the basement, but I looked at it and the addition to the house had a room where there were two closets and a drop-down ironing board between them. I guess this place was for processing laundry from the basement. What I noticed was that the back wall of the closets had the sink on the other side to the master bathroom. As an engineer I realized that meant a drain, and hot and cold water were available there without running a bunch of new pipes. I left it to the contractor to do the dryer vent, and he embedded it in the wall between the studs going straight up. Then in the attic it took a bunch of turns to avoid the rafters and cross several feet to exit the side of the house near the peak. Over time those turns collect lint and eventually you have a clogged vent. Very difficult and expensive to clean. Maybe a commercial vent cleaning would work, and cost less than I paid workmen, but this is a better solution. The set up is perfect for me I disconnect the old vent, put the connector in place and drill a few holes in the back wall to mount the lint catching vent. Might even save on heating on cold winter days with the warm air blowing out of the closet. The design is simplicity itself and probably designed for my situation with a difficult to access vent exhaust. I'll probably put this in sometime in the late spring or summer, but it's actually comforting to have found a solution to this problem. The interior of the filtering chamber is flexible as well. I could easily grab some carbon filter fabric and place it in to even do a nice air purification without much trouble. Recommended.
