A little background, I bought a woodchipper with a Honda clone engine on it, the first day I used it the muffler fell apart where the 'pipe' attaches to the actual muffler... I got a replacement from the manufacturer and that lasted a whopping 2 hours before it failed in the same exact place... After that I just ran it straight pipe vs wasting more money on another muffler... That all said, I came across this muffer and notice that it appears to address the failure point by welding an additional piece of steel on the bottom where the 'pipe' attaches, this was the original failure point... The little deflector on the exhaust port is also a nice upgrade... It's winter now and I won't be using the chipper until spring, and only time will tell if this fixes the issue with the original design...
