I had a similar weather station before from a well known manufacturer. I had read about this weather station and figured it would be a good choice. The set up was easy, and the directions were concise. I have difficulty with setting the time zone, but the manufacturer as been very helpful via emails.

Weather apps can only get you so far. This gets you local weather conditions straight from near you. Wind direction will be dependent on where you place it, and I know I didn’t have the best place for getting accurate wind direction. But everything else looks to be spot on.The outdoor weather unit is a nice inconspicuous white and nothing crazy. The solar panel on it provides power when possible, but has batteries for backup. Allegedly this helps the batteries last a year per the manual. The thermometer has an open enclosure around it, so it is accurate in and out of sun. This was super helpful, since with other types of units you’re battling trying to keep the thermometer in a place where it’ll be accurate, but out of the sun.The indoor unit is way better than I had expected. I’ve had bad experiences before with LCDs on electronics like this, and this did not disappoint. The off axis viewing is amazing. The only angle is if you’re looking up at the display, which I only found because I was checking everything.I definitely recommend this unit. It’ll be a game changer in my war on bad weather apps.

Easy set up, but unless inside display is in a dark room it's hard to see

Overall, this is a good starter weather station. I garden, and I have had those times when the temperature dropped below the forecast and froze instead of just a frost. Year before last, there was that May night when the plant covers were only heavy enough for frost not a freeze, so my pricey tomato plants were heavily damaged and set back by weeks. They did recover, but harvest was set back by weeks, so paying a premium and planting early was a big waste of money. Last fall, another unexpected cold snap (night was about 8 degrees below the forecast) damaged some plants before I had planned to end my season (I cover plants to get them through fall frosts.) So the long term plan is to use this weather station to augment my weather forecasting app in predicting frost/freeze.The setup is fairly straightforward with one exception: You get a very short section of post for the station to sit on, then you need to find something to mount it on. In my garden, there is nothing to mount it on. So it needs to go in a different part of the yard until I can install a mounting post. Not the end of the world, but that makes it somewhat less useful for now. The second thing that you might find annoying is the viewing angle of the display is kind of narrow. This isn't going to be a problem for me as I have a place where I'll be looking at it basically straight on, so the viewing angle isn't a problem in its temporary location or the permanent one it's going to after the station has its permanent mounting post installed. So far it seems to be accurate. We do have challenging conditions at times in this location, so I'll be interested to see how it holds up over time.

This weather station is very professional. It has a lot of features and seems pretty accurate. It can log data so you can view the weather history. It also includes detailed instructions on how to set it up. The weather vane requires 3 AA batteries and the display panel can plug into an outlet (the panel can also use AAA batteries so it keeps logging during a power outage). The transmitting range seems pretty decent too

Way easier to install than I expected, just 4 screws in my back fence, and a few others to hold everything up and it's working. Level bubble just make this a breeze. All sensors are working how I wanted, and all measures seems to be very accurate.I'm amazed on how quickly it got it's signal to get the correct time and date. We'll see how it holds with time, but for now I'm very impressed.
