Mark the installation position of the pile to be driven. Place the stake on the ground by hand. Place the rammer on the end of the stake. Keep in vertical position. Lift the tamper to the top of the column. Impact the pillar with a ground pile, which will force the pillar to fall into the ground.
EASY TO USE
The post hole digger is easy to manoeuvre since it has two grips on both sides of the driver. Installing U-Posts and T-Posts is simple with a post driver. Simply position the fence post driver over the post and raise and release the driver until the post is at the proper depth in the ground.

While I like the handle placement and angle and the paint job looks good - this is just too darn light. I thought it would be about 12lb, which is the minimum for what I consider "heavy duty" as claimed. Unfortunately it's only 9.7lb which made driving T-posts difficult. I would give 5 stars if it were listed as "light duty".

Was off from work to get fence done. But Amazon is getting terrible with on time shipping. As for the pounder good quality for the exception of a jagged edge in the steel. Had to grind down or it would have York gloves. Imagine if you were using bare handed!

I’ve never used one of these before purchasing, but the ones I’ve seen have handles straight out to either side. There’s handles are slightly angled towards each other, making it easier to get more power into each thump. And as a smaller person it keeps my arms closer in for easier lifting and balancing while pounding in the post.

How much different can one post driver be from another ... quite a bit. This driver is just the right weight to drive most any post and is manageable and durable for anyone to use. The handles are positioned in a manner where it is comfortable to use this tool.
