I am not sure if my installation was incorrect but when tilted to block the sun it spun. The weight is great. Holds fine during wind and when not using the tilted feature.

I really liked this base. This is way heavier than I thought I was getting. I bought a square tilt umbrella and wanted to make sure it didn't go anywhere. It is really nice!! I do have to say I was disappointed that the pole on the umbrella did not fit in the base properly. It's held there by a screw you tighten - not by filling up the hole it is placed in. But for what I need it to do, shield my sliding glass doors, it works great!
