Awesome quality, cool take on an IR flag. I have like 4 of these in different colors, camo and sizes. I also have a few other patches from Tactical Freaky like the IR 2x2 med cross. I really like the look, feel, functionality and quality of this stuff. I recommend this to all my buddies and I will definitely buy more in the future.

I can’t complain about the quality or construction, I ordered 2 of these in different colors and they both look great. HOWEVER, keep in mind that these are 3.5” wide patches, as opposed to 99% of this size of rectangular patches that I’ve bought that are 3 ⅛” wide. I went to put this on a Notch hat (sized for a standard 3 ⅛” Velcro pad) and it has ⅜” hanging over the sides of the pad. While I don’t doubt that it wouldn’t look remotely out of place on a shoulder or plate carrier where the Velcro pad isn’t cut to size, it just looks a little out of place on a Notch hat with excess patch hanging over the pad not velcro’d down.

Actually flashes under IR illumination, passive it doesn't gather and reflect well but that seems pretty normal. Checked with built in illuminator on a pvs-14, illuminator and laser on Steiner Dbal-i2.No real reason for me to need an iff built into a flag patch but it's neat and looks cool, but if you're worried about it actually working, it does.

Stitching could be a bit better. But it isn’t bad at all. IR works as it should and fit and looks nice with my Sandstone 5.11 plate carrier. Feel free to contact me with any questions via my IG VeniVidiVici470 !

So I bought this flag patch to match the First Spear plate carrier I recently bought. The patch went well with the carrier but I was wondering if the Infared functioned. I had purchased some First Spear IR tags and I was curious to know whether these patches would have a compareable IR function. Last week I tested that out side by side with the First Spear tags with my buddy’s PVS-14. Now there was a noticeable difference between the two with the First Spear tag doing better but this patch was almost as good. Bottom line, I am impressed and satisfied with the patch.
