I travel for work and always like to have a spare dongle in my backpack just in case my main one goes missing or stops working. This one seems to fit that need well.Aesthetically, the finish could be a bit more polished, and the logo is quite large, but those are minor points for a backup device. Functionally, the important part is that my monitor fired right up without any hassle when I plugged it in. It checks the box for reliable connectivity when I need it on the go.

I was initially wondering about the quality given the price point, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised. Charges my device nicely and outputs a video feed that doesn't have any issues. It doesn’t disappoint in comparison with more expensive alternatives. It met my expectations and I would recommend it given it’s a great value.

Power and HDMI worked great for my Nintendo switch. Useful tool to carry around with my switch in case I want to project to a TV via HDMI without the dock.

We upgraded our iPad to the current ones with USB-C instead of the old lightening cables, and we needed a new HDMI to TV connector using the USB-C connector.I've tried a couple other that didn't work very well, or were very inconsistent. This one works perfectly. Once plugged into the iPad, then the TV via a HDMI cable, the iPad was displayed almost immediately. It also plays the media from my iPad seamlessly.It is very well made with an aluminum type housing vs just plastic. It is a bit bigger than my older lightening one because it has an extra USB input (which I don't know if I will be using), but it's not overly large to become cumbersome.This one just works, it's Awesome.

I have mixed feelings about this adapter. On one hand, it’s very easy to use and feels well-made. It works perfectly with my MacBook and outputs 4K video without any issues. However, when I tried it with my iPhone 15, the connection was inconsistent—sometimes the display wouldn’t show up on my TV, and I had to reconnect a few times. The USB port is handy for transferring files, but I noticed occasional disconnects when using an external hard drive. Versatility is good, but the compatibility isn’t as universal as I’d hoped. For basic use with laptops and tablets, it’s fine, but iPhone users might experience some hiccups. Value for money is fair, but not outstanding given the quirks.

I use this to connect my Google Pixel 8 Pro to a monitor. I works perfectly, and is much faster than my previous adapter. I also like the location of the ports.

This little adapter works really well for what I actually needed it for: USB-C to HDMI. I used it to stream 4K YouTube from my laptop to a 1080p monitor, and the video was smooth with no hiccups or lag. It also stayed cool during use, which is a nice bonus for something this compact.Connectivity-wise, the HDMI output worked great, and the USB-A port delivered full-speed performance. I tested it with a USB 3 to SATA adapter and got over 500MB/s, which matches the expected speed of my SSD. The USB-C PD charging port also seemed to function normally, though I didn’t push it to the full 100W.That said, I had no luck getting USB-C accessories to work when trying to convert them through this adapter. My NVMe enclosure wouldn’t connect at all using a USB C to A cable, and a mouse dongle also failed when routed through a USB A-to-C adapter. Those same devices work fine on my laptop’s native ports, with or without the adapters, so I suspect this device just doesn’t support USB-C passthrough or conversion well — something to be aware of.One important note: your device must support DisplayPort Alt Mode (video over USB-C) in order for HDMI output to work. Not every USB-C port has this capability, especially on budget laptops or phones, so check your specs before buying.As for size and fit: The adapter is nice and compact, didn’t block any adjacent ports on my laptop, and plugged in securely without wobble. It feels well-sized and travel-friendly, and I appreciated that it didn’t require any extra software or setup.
