When I got my new Rogue I never even thought to look if it had a CD player. Was totally bummed to find out it didn’t. After two years with no CD’s I found this gem! I can play my CD’s, no skipping and the sound is amazing (I do have good speakers in my vehicle) Would totally recommend. Lot of people said it would start at random spots, what I found that is if you were playing your CD on another device and stop it, it just picks up from where it was last played. It’s not an issue with the player.

Update: I changed my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars, because it doesn't work with a lot of CDs. Some CDs will work, but others aren't recognized. It's just about worthless as a car CD player because of that.I tried this in two cars, with different results. In a 2019 Tesla Model 3, it works, but shows three copies of each track on the USB play screen. It does work, but you have to skip over the duplicate copies of each track to play the next track. In a 2024 Prius, it works perfectly. There are no duplicated tracks. It seems to be well made, but I don't know how long it will continue to work, after reading the negative reviews. Fingers crossed!

This is a follow-up to my initial review (below). It worked well for about a week, then frequently it wouldn't play, and I couldn't eject the CD. To make it play, I had to keep pressing the "input sources" on my car's display over and over and over. Finally it just stopped playing, right after the return window expired. Do not buy this CD player.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Just installed it in my 2021 Lincoln Nautilus. Played a music CD in the garage and works great. Don't know if it will skip on the road, but based on other reviews, that is not an issue. The connection can be easy or not, depending on your car. The manual for the Lincoln Nautilus is useless, and it took me some trial and error to get it connected. No rating is given for sound quality because this external player uses the car's speakers, and you use the car's controls to change tracks. Fits nicely in the center console. I have it positioned vertically to easily change CD's. Nice touch: it has a velvet-like outside coating. Definitely recommend it.

I am 76 years old and I have a 2022 Genesis G70 and a lot of 60s,70s & 80s cds. This CD player works "GREAT" and was a breeze to hook up (20/min). Most of my CDs have 14 tracks and some I recorded have 20 tracks and it played all and never skiped a beat. I can play songs and use the onboard map and when I receive a call it will stop playing and start again when the call is finished. The only thing that concerns me is I have no idea what or how long the warranty is and no way to find out. But for now I am a happy camper and I hope this CD player has a long life span.

Very happy with this - easy to install in my 2020 Toyota elantra. Simple and has no extra devices - Easy on screen button control and I can now enjoy my CD music again. One CD at a time . . . (=

I bought this to listen to books on CD in the car. This player functions beautifully until it gets to the second half of track 6 on any disc from any book. Then the playback becomes erratic. It skips, it jumps to their chapters, it stutters, it gets staticky. It is unintelligible. I have cleaned it with a cleaning disc. It plays entire 18 track music CDs without a problem but get to the second half of track 6 on a book CD and you aren't going to be able to listen. This makes me sad because it wasn't exactly cheap. I can't understand why it plays all of a music CD but has the same behavior on book CDs on multiple books and every disc. The discs themselves all play fine on a player in my house, so I know its not the discs. Its definitely the player.

I just bought a used 2020 Toyota CHR and all newer cars did not come with CD players anymore and I'm old school and love my CDs. I took a chance on this one for about $65 new and was expecting the worst especially with this player which claimes to read CDs, MP3 and DVD being pretty much one of the lowest price one on Amazon...and was very pleasantly surprised that it was so darn easy to hook up and that it read both my CDs and MP3 discs!!! I've read other reviews where some players did not read more than 11 Tracks this one read a CD which had 20 tracks on it so there's no issues there with this one. Said it also read mp3s and indeed it does I have quite a few homemade CDs and also life concerts burned onto CD which I love to listen to and this played them. Did not try the DVD player function and don't really need it to play DVDs in my car. Hooking it up took me 10 seconds and gets its power off the USB cord too and the music goes straight to the USB cord directly to or through the radio. On my screen in my car I only had to select USB as source and was done. I can skip tracks using my radios screen interface!! No software or set up needed in my case (no software is included anyway). I do like that I don't have to fumble or open any top loading door and just feed a CD into the front like a car CD player does. It comes with two sided mounting tape to mount onto a flat surface though I don't have a flat surface that it can be mounted to and would not want to leave it on my dashboard to be exposed to the Heat and sun or block my view of the road It is slightly bulky compared to other models but I will deal with it... just happy to have a CD player!! I'm hopeful that the CD player holds up over time. I would definitely give this one a shot first given the price and if this doesn't work for you, try something else.
