So far no go. It did not come with an installation disc like others have mentioned, and IS NOT plug and play for Windows 7, even though it says it is. I tried downloading the software from the manufacturer's site, and that doesn't work either. I have sent them an email and hoping to hear back. I will update this review if it works with instructions for others with Windows 7.

I needed to add WiFi and Bluetooth to the Windows side of a dual-boot Hackintosh PC I built, and this was the easiest way to do it. It's practically plug-and-play - simply plug the adapter into a USB port, wait a few seconds for the driver prompt, then click the "yes" button to install the drivers, and you're done.I bought two of these for two different machines; the first one needed a quick reboot for Windows to gain the WiFi/Bluetooth functionality, but the second machine had WiFi/Bluetooth immediately after the driver install. There isn't anything extraordinary about this item - it just works. Though it's not super-fast WiFi 7, it's more than enough for most people. I give the adapter a solid 4-stars.

This is a very small Wireless USB WIFI adapter for PC. It has 802.11ac wireless networking. Included is a small installation disc that I expected would put this WIFI adapter into business, but opening it, there are 3 separate categories: Windows, Mac and Linux. Opening the Linux files there seems to be nothing active (that if you click on it will install the driver for the adapter. This is an old device, with the latest date I could find being 2017, and each file is nuts and bolts that you must somehow assemble into a driver. There are 3 separate files under Linux, and each one of them could be the driver I need or maybe I need all 3. There's no explanation that I can understand and just poking around and trying to get something to happen didn't work at all. A 19 page PDF mostly devotes itself to Windows which is complicated enough, but I don't know anything about the protocols or requirements. The entire process is a mystery, not helped at all by all the versions and code numbers, so if I want to install this adapter I'm going to need professional help or read a book that explains how to do this or at least what I need to make it work. If you have a Windows or Mac computer there's probably an installer that selects the software you need, but Linux Mint 19 an older version from about 4 years ago (this is 2023) is no help at all and I must do this manually. I love a challenge, but I'm going to wait until I have more information.-(A Few Hours Later) Using the internal software of Linux Mint, there was suddenly a dialogue box that opened asking if I wanted to install the software! (I had found a short video on YouTube that explained how for Linux.) The last step was a list of available WIFI channels, with my WIFI/Router at the top and all I had to do was select that and type-in the password. DONE and on the internet. (Easy when you know how!)-I had been trying to install the software through the CD, which might work for Windows, but NOT for Linux. I had to find the "Program Manager" which did the rest, finding the correct files for the USB adapter and writing them to the SSD.
