The whistle is loud enough. Lanyard is fine. Not real sure about the clip, it is pretty flexible. Harder plastic might be better.

Not enough loud ! But the loudness probably comes with the price . It is a cheap whistle. Better than nothing.

O produto me surpreendeu pelo custo benefício, é um apito de sobrevivência com clip para colocar em colete salva vidas ou mochila. Fiquei surpreso com o alto volume de som produzido e com o fato de ter duas frequências diferentes, sendo fácil de reconhecer e ouvir. Tem uma construção aparentemente resistente e não há nada de metal, o que permite o uso em ambientes úmidos.

Purchased a couple of these whistles for our emergency prepared kits for our home and car. Quite durable and loud. We like the fact that it comes with a string attach and a clip on the side to attach to your clothing so you can always have it with you.For the price, it seemed a perfect fit.If you a whistle for any activity, we recommend purchasing a few of these.

Son de un plastico que se ve y se siente de buena calidad, tienen un sonido muy fuerte por lo que son perfectos para campismo o casos de emergencia.Ya tuve la oportunidad de probarlos en una escalada en la Malinche y funcionaron perfecto, se escuchaban a pesar de la distancia y sirvieron para que me ubicaran mis amigos, los recomiendo!

Tried them out and they scared the squirrels in the yard off the bird feeder (which could be another use for them.) We have one each on our life jackets. So far we have not encountered any emergencies requiring their use (and hope it stays that way) but its good to know they are there. These are a good and cost effective safety item for recreational paddlers of all types. They will work when wet which they likely will be when we really need them.

I occasionally go kayaking in the local lakes. I purchased this whistle as a safety measure to draw attention should I ever need help while on a lake. It is a light plastic whistle. The cord will allow it to be easily attached to my life vest so if there is an emergency I will be able to reach it. It is loud, and should easily draw attention. I recommend this for safety if you play around in the lakes like I do.

They are sturdy whistles that are easy to blow. When you really blow hard, the whistles seem to produce a two or three tone blast. Very piercing. I had my 3 year old try to blow the whistles and he was able to produce a loud blast without much effort.I like that these do not have the 'ball' in them to get frozen, grimy or stuck. They will work in all weather types.I will definitely include these in my Bug Out Bag.

I purchased three sets of these whistles -- one for myself and the rest for family and friends. My main purpose was to carry it with me when going for a walk -- in case I need to use it in an emergency. They come packaged in a blister pack and include a strong nylon cord and a built in belt clip. This is primarily how I am using the whistle right now -- it stays tucked into the waistband of my jeans and stays there day after day until the jeans are due for a wash.As for the efficacy of the whistle and ease of use -- I am a little disappointed in both. The distance the whistle can be heard depends on a lot of things but mainly I would say the area in which you are using it. I walk next to a major traffic lane/avenue with cars constantly buzzing by on their way to the highway. Under such heavy traffic and commotion, when I blew on the whistle as hard as I could, my friend informed me that she was able to hear me down the block. However the sound of the whistle was pretty much "background noise" when she got two to three blocks away from me. I don't know whether any of the passers by in the car could or would have heard the whistle.Using the whistle also takes a little getting used to. Personally, it took a lot of "puff" to blow on it hard enough to be heard at long distances. I could sound the whistle three times before I became tired. I don't know whether I would be able to get that many whistles out if I need it in an emergency or safety situation -- i.e. if I am panicked. Perhaps this is an indication that I'm out of shape (non-smoker btw) or maybe I just need to get a whistle with a little pea in it :)Overall, until I find a whistle that is similarly priced and easier to blow on, this little guy will continue sitting on my belt loop. A good buy and tool to have in your emergency kit or pack.

Besides suggesting to the bears that this property is not a resting place for them, especially around the garbage cans, they provide a few moments of peace when our old deaf and blind dog wants to find out if we are home. A few toots on one of these lets him know we are here and he is permitted to visit, but usually turns us down.These are the first dual tone pealess whistles I have ever heard of or used. They are loud enough to attract that bear's attention and the same way with the dog. The dual tone reduces the shrill sounds compared to other whistles. Add the neck piece and it becomes a favorite attachment when going outside for almost task.

Insanely loud. Do not use indoors and only use when necessary! The volume is crazy loud.Will be great to have when we go kayak fishing on the coast. Last time we were down there we didn't know about the requirement and it occurred to me that having a noise maker of some sort would be good. The concept of having an extreme whistle handy when an airboat is bearing down on you is easy to see.To use this you need to put your teeth over the edge of the mouth piece and bite it while you blow. This puts your mouth in the perfect position to blow air hard and therefore make a huge noise. First time I tried this I did it indoors and nearly deafened myself. It's even bothersome loud outside. Recommend you don't use this unless you really need it and if you intend to use it on a regular basis, get some ear plugs for yourself. LOL Trust me on that!Don't be run over! GET ONE FOR YOURSELF!
