I've been using hotplates for several years (this is the 4th) and am pleased with the quality in this one. It has a real appliance cord with a grounded plug, and is 3.5 feet long which is longer than others and makes placement easier in a kitchen like mine with a scarcity of outlets. The temperature settings are actually reliable 1=warm, 2=low, 3=medium, etc. so I haven't had to guess. The feet are rubbery so it doesn't slide around like the ones with hard plastic feet.The only drawback is that the heating element is small (6 inches) so it isn't practical for large pots, but the unit is also very compact.

After Hurricane Milton, we were without power for 5 days. We had a generator and were able to prepare meals on this hot plate. It worked perfectly and we have added it to how hurricane survival kit.

I bought the product because I saw the 200-220V info, I received it at home and honestly plug it to the electricity and I damaged the product and melt the cable, the product I received is made in China and 110V (not 220V). It's my fault in part because I could have paid more attention eventually to some additional info in the box (I've sent it out to garbage) but I just took the info from this page as right otherwise I would not buy a product with a different power ac from where I live.
