Was looking forward to having this to check for gross stuff. Black light works perfectly. But the human fluids etc... didn't show one speck of anything. Either my house is spotless, or this light doesn't work as advertised.

Couple of stupid things here"Visible spectrum" ultraviolet light is not within the visible spectrum.Also.. uv-d uv-f.... these are not real things

What I did not like is that it picks up ZERO pet spots on carpet-even in a litter box it did not find the urine. As far as scorpions, who knows but I would not trust it to perform as intended.

This blacklight flashlight worked well for me. I recently purchased my first home and the previous owners had a dog, I figured I would get this flashlight to try and see if there were any urine stains throughout the home. There definitely was! It picked up urine stains really well for me. You have to shut all of the lights off and be completely in the dark to use this and to see the urine marks. It does use a lot of batteries though, and I mean a lot.

As far as its functionality and strength, it is more than satisfactory. I use it to charge up glow in the dark discs for disc golf as well as to double check that I got all grease off the stove when cleaning, but it uses 6 AA batteries, which is crazy. I would definitely prefer it came with one of those oversized batteries and a USB-C style charger, but my preferences aside, it functions as intended once you load up the batteries.
