These were great for about a week until somebody borrowed them. Will re-order two sets in the Fall.

These gloves would be fine for keeping your hands warm and dry for just walking around in cold weather or sitting and watching a ball game or something passive. Unfortunately the gloves didn't last one day while camping in Alaska ("Kenai" indeed). The neoprene shredded off the palms and fingers from just doing normal chores, turning the gloves into water-soaked sponges. Disappointed.

These are just depressing. We bought a pair of Kenai gloves on a trip to Alaska 12 years ago. Thick neoprene, a little too big, grippy, waterproof, warm, wonderful. We've been using them at our farm in the winter. They finally sprung a few small leaks, so I thought I'd get some new ones. These claim to be "original Kenai" gloves. No, they're not even close. The neoprene is thin as paper, the seams are all just sewn, they're no warmer than cheaper wool gloves, and they're not even waterproof. Made in China by the Nevada company that seems to have bought out Kenai and cheapened the whole line. And the large size barely fits my wife's hands, much less mine.

I bought a pair of these gloves up in RI before a fall fishing trip 5-6 years back, loved them. They're great for keeping your hands warm in wet conditions. A bunch of reviews were unhappy that their hands get wet - these are water resistant, not waterproof (like the more-expensive Kenai Waterproof gloves). The neoprene keeps my hands warm even if the y do get wet, and the grip is consistently excellent. I use them a lot for winter sports (esp. paddle/platform tennis), they're excellent in cold weather. The only issue I had is size. My old ones were XL and fit perfectly; I ordered XL and they felt somewhere between Medium and Large. Sent those back, got the XXL and the fit is great. I read they sold to a Chinese company, the sizes must have gotten lost in translation somewhere along the line. One note, they're neoprene with rubber grip, not leather, and will definitely break down faster when used with friction on rough surfaces. Cold-weather fishing, hiking/camping, cleaning out gutters, washing the car or house windows, great; stacking a bunch of firewood, not so much.

Very form fitting, comfortable, true to size and rugged. I fish in the Icy cold waters of the Pacific coast and these are my second pair over the past ten years. I can’t do without them. They are my ‘second’ pair, because I repurposed my first pair and put them in my day to day hiking pack. These work great for so many reasons. To keep you warm, dry and clean, a must have.

I got these for wet and cold weather cycling in Seattle and they work well for daily commuting (about 30 minutes each way) keeping hands dry and warm... They dry quickly for a the next commute. I bought a larger size to be more like regular gloves and fingers are a little snug.

Exactly what I was looking for. I currently have the Kenai Neoprene gloves that have have the same texture for the palms and the back of your hands. Wasn't sure exactly how these Basic gloves were going to feel and perform but they are actually more comfortable than my current pair. Bought them only because I need a backup pair for atv plowing since my first set is starting to wear on the palms below my pinky fingers, likely due to the atv handlebars and not glove quality. What I really like about these gloves is that you have great dexterity while wearing them without compromising comfort, warmth or resistance to snow/water. BTW Amazon Prime had them shipped to my door in about 24 hrs from time of order which really impressed me.

otherwise i'd really like this glove. since they are a pretty hearty, thick rubber-like glove they are probably pretty good against cold, seem rugged & easy to clean & wipe up if they got grimy, but definitely not resistant to water other than mist- if they were seamless or seam-sealed they'd be great. i actually prefer the ones i received to the picture- they are the same rubbery palm material back & front, (but still have the index finger spandex-like material on them & not sure what purpose that serves as the rest of the glove is grippy.) size small fit my tiny child-like hands (7" circumference, 6.5" bottom to top) almost perfect with only a tiny bit too long in some fingers, and very bulky around my thin wrists (5.5"), so men should definitely order a size up from normal. they do have a elastic/stretchy quality to them. label reads: 83% neoprene, 11% fleece lining 150gm, 5% polyurethane, 1% polyester- made in china
