How To Use:
1. CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE TUBE. Measure the diameter of wire/cable you want to wrap, make sure the diameter is equal to the size of heat shrink tube , because the tube will shrink up to 1/2 of original diameter after heating.
2. WRAP THE WIRE WITH THE TUBE. Cut out the length you need, wrap the wire with the tube, use a lighter, hair dryer or heat gun to heat the tube.
3. HEAT THE TUBE UNTIL THE WIRE IS WRAPPED TIGHTLY.

I ordered 1 mm inner diameter tubing, but upon measuring, it is about 2 mm. The advertised size does not agree with actual size. That said, it actually shrinks to less than 0.8 mm when heated, so it works for me.

My inline roller skates using 1/32-in braided wire for lacings. Unfortunately, braided wire easily unravels so it putting it through the eyes of my roller skate boots becomes very difficult and required constant cutting the end of the wire to get rid of the frayed ends. This heat shrink tubing was the perfect solution for frayed braided wire. It shrinks snuggly around this size wire and makes it virtually impossible for the braided ends to fray. Best thing ever! This will make lacing my boots super easy.

This is marked as 2mm but it is 2mm AFTER SHRINKING.I already have a mile of 3mm OD shrink tube that was supposed to be 2mm. I wanted 2MM OD that shrinks down to 1mm OD so I'm returning this.
