I bought it to put my Panasonic Lumix camera on a spotting scope adapter. I didn't realize that the adapter wouldn't just fit and had to get this step down ring but it worked like a charm. Seems like a good quality ring.

This adapter is good quality but is not as described: it is made to attach the larger lens, as opposed to the smaller one. I decided to keep it because I will use it in other situations.
