I've been using the standard gas tank for refilling my boat on the lake. Because these newer tanks no longer have the vent holes like the older ones, and because the newer and more complicated pouring nozzles tend to come apart after a while, I would end up spilling a lot of gas when pouring it into my boat. That is no longer a problem with this tank since it has a vent hole and a long flexible nozzle. In addition, since my boat motor is a two-stroke, I have to mix the blue 2-stroke oil with the gas. Well, sometimes it might be a while in between the time I bought the gas and when I poured it into the boat I didn't always know if I had added the oil or not until it was pouring. Because this tank is semi-transparent I can now see if the gas is blue (has the oil) or not.

Have now bought two of these, use to take extra water up dry camping. The hose nozzle is easy for filling our fresh water tank and it seals nicely. Very very heavy duty.

The molded edge around the vent threads was protruding up and wouldn't allow the rubber seal to seal so it leaked gas all over. The clear spout also had some red goo smeared inside it. I've used a knife and smoothed out then edges and cleaned the goo it now works ok but ive had other cans without issues.

it’s a great can. I am definitely buying another one. It holds more fuel than it says, and when dispensing the fuel, it shoots it out quickly kind of like how NASCAR’s get fueled up best gas can I’ve ever owned.
