The plastic material is great for resistance to corrosion and mild chemicals. Its shaft is made of 304 stainless steel for resistance to corrosion. With a maximum pressure rating of 15 psi, a mid-flow rating of 0.5 psi, and a maximum working temperature rating of 167 degrees, the gate valve is versatile and durable. The Valterra ABS Gate Valve is suitable for use with RV's, campers, and more. Please note: Paddle is slightly smaller than opening to ease opening/closing. Valve seal gaskets block any gaps to ensure no leaks.

Worked on my 70s model camper for a dumpvalve. Inlet and outlet are different sizes. Abs pipe glues into 1 side and the other side is for a coupling or bayonet fitting to be glued on it. Exactly what I needed.

I hit a traffic cone which must have blown over on the Interstate which damaged the dump valves on our motorhome, causing them to leak badly. The seams were glued and the accident broke the glued seam. I had to piece together a new dump apparatus with parts I bought online. These are all standard sizes. I had to create a new type of apparatus but for most people, this should be a perfect replacement. Remember the small valve is for grey water and the large for black water.

My motorhome already had a third valve just like this, but it had a Thetford fitting glued on. I wanted to change to the more common Valterra style fittings, so I had to replace the valve. The problem was the old valve was glued onto the pipe from the RV with no room to glue on a new valve after cutting off the old one. My solution was to buy this new valve, which appeared to be the same as the old one. I then took the old valve apart and removed the exit half of the body (with the Thetford fitting glued on) and the middle section that is the valve gate. I then disassembled the new valve and assembled the new gate section and the exit part of the body to the old inlet half of the body that was still on the RV. I then glued a Valterra fitting on, and now I can use the common style of RV sewer hose without any adapters. Thankfully, the manufacturer hasn’t changed this valve in a long time or else I couldn’t have made this work. Sometimes the old way doesn’t need to be changed.

I bought 2 since they were reasonably priced and I needed the same connector on both sides as this is for an inline operation and not for the outlet before the hose attachment. These DO NOT have the bayonet mount attachments for your hose, you will need an additional piece for that.The slide mechanism moves open and closed easily, and you can see how well it seals when closed. The handle is not flimsy, although for my application I will not be using the handle. The craftsmanship is very good and they are made to be durable. I was surprised by the quality vs. the cost.

This 3" Hub valve from Valterra was just what I needed for the new RV plumbing system I"m building. I was imppressed with the quality and the feel of the product and when disassembling to glue up and install it was easy to work with and you could see the thickness of the gaskets that properly seal the gate valve. Works great and fits with standard 3' abs from any local hardware store. I also would like to make a note that because the valves are bolted together they work double duty as a disconnect point in the future if I need to remove a tank or any part of my system. I have purchased several more and would recommend them to those in need of a quality gate valve.
