Been using these for about 3 years now around farm buildings mainly to support my rifle with night vision on for keeping the rat numbers down . If needed I would buy another set as I have been more than happy with the vanguards especially the price .

Unlike full gun rest and holder which people put on table and adjust their gun by up and down the screws this one you need skill to shoot straight because it does hold the gun but still you need to use proper skill of you want to hit the bullseye. I'll never get the point of putting you rifle on something with zero movements and than show off your skill for hitting the target .Buy this before gets more expensive and make your practice much much easier practical and skillful. It's very light and very easy to adjust. Feel like a very good quality too for money

I like being able to switch between tripod and by pod. Light duty, legs bend easy so be careful. Works great!

Vanguard tripod in my situation and now times, excellent value quality for the money! FX bottle air rifles fit perfect! And others. Being I shoot medium range This is laser beam performance. I know it will handle most powder burners. Vanguardis really nice in tripod helped me even take out cicadas, locusts air to 25 yards! Imagine that. I'm making laser shots on 3/4in. Target with this! If you're shooting air rifle long distance I would prefer/ recommend bog death grip. I've also taken pesting birds to 40 easily with the VG. Neck and head areas. If you're on a Simi buget, this is the ticket! Or if you're needing something quick and out of stock is problem. There you have it folks, from a pro here.Don't hesitate to try one today! I'm not sponsored in any way shape or form! I'm just a professional pesting air gunnar living the air gunnars dream! Ed da snipper man...me

This is one of the few things that I have bought that really lives up to the advertised value of it. It really does work and being disabled every advantage when hunting or just shooting is always a welcome reality. There may be some cheaper ones out there but that's what they are, cheap! Also there are some more expensive ones, but if you want one that doesn't have such a high ratio of bad experiences to good ones, go with this one and you will be able to use it for more than just one season without having serious issues with it. It's very well made and for using in a ground blind taking off the third leg gives you extra room and you still maintain the high quality stability that it promises. You won't be sorry!

I would give this a 5 but I only have one issue. The swivel is a bit too sensitive. It made it a bit hard to stay steady but I made it work. For the price it is great. Other than that it works great and did the job! Allows for a more accurate and clean shot every time. I have recommended it to a few friends already. I was shooting a 300 win mag and it helped control the kick a lot.The height adjustments came in handy for different locations. One thing I’d recommend is maybe a Velcro strap to go over just so it can sit on the mount without holding it.

This is a really nice product! As good as some costing as much as double the price. Easy to use but I strongly suggest adding a lanyard to the rest since it does come off easy and could easily get lost while walking around. Being able to convert from monopod, to bipod, to tripod with relative ease is a great feature once you figure it out. You'll have to spend a great deal more for that elsewhere. It is a bit heavy when all together but that also means it's not a flimsy piece of junk like some. In tripod configuration it's definitely not a walking stick. Leg adjustments are easy and secure. A big improvement over the previous mode,l I understand, which you had to twist to adjust. Just flip a lever, slide the leg where you want it and flip back to lock. Unlimited adjustment from fully retracted to fully extended with all three legs. Great for uneven terrain. The legs are like good camera tripod legs which, by the way, camera tripod is also a great use for this device. Now if they would make a binocular rest for it, it would be even better.

Very good unit. Stable. Handled a 10 day whitetail hunt. No problem. Even used the detachable leg as walking stick. No problem at all. Definitely a good purchase.

OK, to be clear, I am reviewing this item as a 3 in 1 shooting stick, not as a camera tripod (though I'll make some comments). I purchased the item with deliberate intent for my own use, it was not given to me to review.A very lightweight shooting platform that is very stable in both tripod and bipod forms. It is a very good value. Happy I bought it and would recommend to friends for sure.Pros:- Variety of applications.- Really stable for the weight.- Adjustable from sitting level to standing levels. Can be set up low to ground as a tripod for back against the tree turkey calling. Nice height for me.- Flexible configuration - third leg unthreads and provides a monopod that is very lightweight.- No single button deployment. Simple design.- In tripod form, would be a great stand for rifle caliber hunting pistols.- less expensive than any other pod with as many features.I like to use it as a bipod, leaving the third leg attached but short so that I can rest it back down on the third leg while I cock and load. I can then rest a gun in the cradle, push it forward and it's on the bipod.Cons:- Screw base is not articulated in any way. If your application requires some articulation (spotting scope, camera, chrono) you could use a ball mount. - http://amzn.com/B000L47AHG looks like a good one or for under $10 - http://amzn.com/B00C3DY73S- no single button deployment for very fast setup.- Strap has adjustment buckle, but limited range. - adding a swivel clip to the webbing strap would increases the flexibility by allowing the bipod legs to be spread out wider.- Feet are rubber without a cleat point.
