Honestly, I struggle with my habits. I used my knife to pop it open. You'd think this would be of a higher quality to protect that. This only works if you have the willpower.

This is a little box that can lock your phone. I specifically got it for my teenage son. That’s spends way too much time on his phone. I can set a timer that allows it to be locked for a certain amount of time. This is especially good overnight, when my son Would be on his phone when he was supposed to be sleeping.It is definitely five stars, if you use it for this purpose. My son is unable to access the phone, and allows him to not be distracted and go to sleep.It is also supposed to be able to be something to help with distractions, and you still should be able to view text off your phone without full access. I was not able to see everything that I needed as I was working, and couldn’t use it for productivity increaser.I do think it’s a great luck and blocker, especially for teenagers, but if you want something to help with your productivity, maybe tries and find something else. Overall, I would definitely recommend this!

While this isn't really otterbox case friendly, it fits most phones and works well for small time out sessions with the kids like during dinner, homework time, and curfew. This case lets you still charge the phone, answer calls from Bluetooth, and the kids can still keep their phones for alarms and emergencies overnight. My niece was struggling to stay off her phone during the night, but as a teenager we didn't want to restrict her access to her friends or take her phone away without it being a serious consequence. She wasn't being punished, she just needed to develop better sleep patterns and learn to break poor habits.I also used this for myself when I need to focus on a task and not check notifications, and to keep myself from staying up too late reading new webnovel updates, as well as for vacations, camping, and a cruise.So far this is a great compromise if you don't want to turn your phone off completely, but also feel like you need to set a hard line and focus on a task. The only major downside is there is no master unlock in case you accidentally set the timer too long. Luckily you are still able to access phone calls via bluetooth.

This item is definitely recommended if you have a hard time staying off your phone when needing to get things done either at work or school. Very easy easy use, you just set the timer, insert your phone, and lock it. I was able to fit my zfold 6 without issue so it fits almost any phone. The box itself is well made like aluminum so it won't be easy to open once locked and the timer set. I use it occasionally when I find myself looking at my phone constantly and need to get work done. Overall happy with the lock box and definitely recommend it.

I really like this portable lock box. It's user-friendly and completely functional, helping me manage my work efficiency effectively. It feels sturdy and durable. I appreciate that it only opens when positioned vertically, which adds an extra layer of security. You can increase the lock duration, but not decrease it. The size is perfect for any phone, and the small opening on top allows me to answer calls and control music easily. Overall, it's an excellent and secure lock box!

Didn't like the cheaper looking plastic boxes out there that seemed too easy to break. This metal phone lock looks sleek and well-made with solid construction and nice LED display and metal buttons. The box feels hefty enough and would still protect your phone if it dropped to the floor. I like that it has cutouts -- open window to still accept a call (if necessary) and also cutout to charge your phone.Works well. But you need to make sure you set the timer correctly -- once set, you can't open until the time is done. There is no password to open earlier. I suggest trying it out without a phone inside first a few times to see how it works.I kept the sticker on the box that gives the important reminder:"Notice: Keep the box vertical when pressing the LOCK button to open or close."
