Read the instructions (I know, it sounds silly, but you gotta do it) This unit must be paired with your FIOS router before it can be placed where you want it to be. For pairing, (you will need to connect it with the short ether net card that comes with the unit) the extender must be placed about 3 feet from the router. If you place it right next to the router it will not pair. Once pairing is successful (it takes about ten minutes) you will need to run a CAT5 ether net cord from your router to the place you want the extender to be.

My split level brick house had poor wifi in the living room, by that TV, while the rest of the house, 2 floors did fine with signal from Verizon fios cylinder (slightly larger but same look as the Fios extender seen in photo). By adding a coax splitter to the cable going to Living Room TV, I was able to connect both TV and Extender box to coax, and get great Wifi on that end of the house. This has solved the problem!

We bought two of these for our 1400 Sq foot house to extend the coverage. The extenders would not maintain a signal unless very close to the router which defeats the purpose. We placed one extender on the second floor directly over where the router was located and the second extender was approximately 30 ' feet away from the router in a sun room. Both extenders continually blinked yellow in their respective locations which indicate that the extenders need to be closer to the router. What is the point of an extender if it needs to be very close to the router? And, these were very expensive comparatively. We ended up buying a new FIOS compatible router and extenders from ASUS for less than the two Verizon extenders cost. Really disappointed with this product and would not purchase again.

The Verizon/Fios Wi-Fi Extender E3200 emerges as a noteworthy contender in the world of Wi-Fi extenders, especially for those already within the Verizon ecosystem. Its most striking feature is its seamless integration with existing Fios systems, providing an almost effortless setup experience. This plug-and-play aspect is a significant boon for users who might be less tech-savvy.Performance-wise, the E3200 does an admirable job in extending the reach of Wi-Fi signals within the household. Users living in multi-story homes or those with numerous Wi-Fi 'dead zones' will appreciate the noticeable signal strength and coverage area improvement. The device also supports Wi-Fi 6, a step forward in future-proofing your home network. However, the E3200 isn't without its limitations. While not exorbitant, the price point leans towards the higher end, especially when compared to other extenders in the market that offer similar features. This might deter potential buyers who are looking for a more budget-friendly solution.Another aspect where the E3200 could improve is in the realm of advanced features and customizability. Tech enthusiasts and power users might find the lack of detailed network management tools a bit underwhelming. This isn't a deal-breaker for the average user but is something to consider for those who like to fine-tune their network settings. In conclusion, the Verizon/Fios Wi-Fi Extender E3200 is a solid choice for Fios customers looking to enhance their home network's reach and performance. Its user-friendly setup and reliable performance are its primary selling points, though its price and lack of advanced features might give some users pause. It's a commendable option, albeit with a few areas left for improvement.

I have an area in my basement that's fairly far from my Fios router and my iPhone would regularly toggle between the Verizon 5G and the Fios network. I have contemplated on using different types of Wifi extenders and at the end decided to go with this E3200 Wifi Extender. It's very easy to configure this Wifi extender with the Ethernet cable connecting to the Fios router. The E3200 Wifi extender uses the same password as the router, so its transparent to the user as which network devices you're connected to.Even thought E3200 is slightly more expensive than the alternative Wifi extenders, its well worth the hassle and frustration of trying to add another Wifi extender in the Fios network.

This is a very good option for a WiFi extender if you are a Verizon FIOS customer. It's solidly built and looks exactly like the FIOS router. I located the FIOS extender in a room in my home where the standard WiFi signal was spotty to fair at best. Pairing the FIOS extender to the FIOS router couldn't have been easier as I simply connected the extender to an available coaxial outlet in the room and plugged in the power adapter. The extender immdiately and automatically began the network paring process to the router. Less than five minutes later, the extender was providing an "excellent" WiFI signal in that part of the house. The firmware for the FIOS router also automatically added information for the extender to the firmware page. Two cons: (1) The FIOS extender is quite expensive when compared to other options. The simplicity of the setup (especially when using a coaxial connection) does have its benefits, but its MSRP is a drawback. (2) The extender is pretty large and bulky (though somewhat attractive and modern-looking). You will need to find a bit of open space on a table or shelf for this extender.Overall, this is a solid choice if you need a FIOS WiFi extender.
