I used this to lift a 35lb tank (filled it was 70lb) and it did so with mixed results. It kept wanting to slip on the tank. When I tried to use it to lift a 50lb tank that was also filled, making it around 100lbs total, this device almost completely failed me. This was made even more dangerous having to carry the bottle down some stairs. I was hoping it would assist me in carrying tanks but the rubber on the device is a very poor design and slips on the tank and slips itself right off the lifting device when trying to lift even just a mildly heavy tank. I'm going to remove the rubber around the center and spray the metal lifting device with rhino liner or a flex seal spray to hopefully allow it to better secure itself to a tank when lifting, otherwise this device was a very expensive piece of ugly wall art. Clever, but not very functional in its current configuration

Device was cheaply made and did not pick up cylinder as advertised. Weather-stripping peeled off.
