A good product with a few faults, overall excellent value for the money.PRO'SOnly have used it as a peat moss spreader and it does excellent job. Compared to using a wheelbarrow and shovel this is a game changer, took about a half an hour to do a small backyard compared to a few hours of using a wheelbarrow shovel and rake. It provides an even layer of top dressing once you have seeded. I also found it to be very sturdy construction within reason. Easy to use and easy to roll. Does take some time to fill it and it requires many fills to cover a small area but well worth the sacrifice given the results.CON'SI have a mechanical background and a very good set of tools which was a godsend. Assembly took approximately 2 hours and instructions could have been better as other people have cited. One of the handle supports did not line up and had to do some bending to allow the through bolt to go through the handle and bracket. I was also glad that I had very small wrenches as the nuts for the hinges and latches are quite small and require to be held while screwing in the screws. I also read in some reviews people were saying the bolts would not screw in all the way. Please be aware that the bolts are Nylock bolts with a nylon washer inside of the bolt. This is to ensure that the bolts do not vibrate loose once they are torqued. The job could be done using long nose pliers but is much simpler with a small wrench.OVERALL IMPRESSIONSFit and finish of the roller is much better than expected just be prepared to invest some time in the assembly but given the cost it offers amazing value once assembled. Some people mentioned latches that broke. Mine seem to work well, one word of advice though, when you are closing the latches ensure you are applying pressure to both of them at the same time evenly. I have a feeling that people that were experiencing broken latches we're trying to do them one at a time which stresses out the latch.Would I recommend this product to a friend? Absolutely given the build quality I expect years of service from this roller. Many thanks to Vevor for a great time saver. My back thanks you!

There was a significant amount of bending after assembly, so it didn't match exactly, and when I tried to close the unit, one latch was too resistant to it, so it detached itself.

Been trying to get it assembled. However instructions are hard to follow. Want to it but can’t seem to bend the cages to fit

I wish I could give zero stars!!It’s absolute trash from assembly to fit and finish nothing lined up gaps everywhere! Have to bend the the latches to close the feed gate !!Look for other options!

Instructions are manageable. The spring loaded clips or clamps that are to hold the fill door closed are to tight for the distance and will bend or spring will come undone. Never got them both closed at the same time.

This product is pretty good for spreading topsoil and redistributing soil that I have removed from my lawn and wanted to put elsewhere. It assembled pretty easily. The main complaint I have is that one of the two locking latches does not stay locked because the tolerances of the parts are too wide. I had to come up with a workaround to make it latch, and even now I need to tie it down with velcro or a twisty wire. Otherwise, the drum would not rotate because the open latch would get caught on one of the side supports as it tried to move. It is a pain to have to reset the latch every time I use this product, but otherwise it fulfills well the job I need it for.

From the moment I opened the box, it was clear this compost spreader was assembled in a factory where quality control went on permanent vacation. The screw holes didn’t line up—at all—unless you’re into threading metal through sheer force and prayer. The latches? They broke before I even used it. That’s right, it failed at existing, which is impressive in its own tragic way.The panels don’t line up, so instead of spreading compost, it leaks it like a rusted-out colander with dreams. Speaking of rust—yes, it came rusty out of the box. How is that even possible? Was this stored underwater? In a swamp? In someone’s bad intentions? And as for spreading? Forget it. This thing “spreads” compost the same way a dropped bucket does—chaotically and unevenly, but with less reliability.Do yourself a favor: take your compost, toss it by hand, and save yourself the heartbreak. Because this product? This is not a compost spreader.

Sturdy build, easy to use, and does exactly what it is designed to do…spread a nice even layer of material—compost in my case—on the lawn, with amazing ease. Can’t imagine the name brand spreader at twice the cost performing any better, however I understand that one comes assembled. Speaking of which, lay down a drop cloth, turn on the game, and take your time putting this together. Requires some patience, but you’ll be please with the end product.

Directions are a bit vague, but if you can assemble a kids toy, this is nothing. Works better than expected too

I was somewhat surprised to find a well built cage and handle assembly (you have to fully assemble it though). The one problem is the latches are kinda flimsy holding the access port. One broke on the first use and customer service sent me a new pair. This works very well and I would recommend this brand

Part of one of the end pieces was bent up. This made it to where the cage would not make a circle. This made gaps around the frame clips bent and keep popping open because frame is bent up. It is thin metal. I had a job to do so I had to make do with it. Overall a horrible experience
