Very disappointed in the product sent to me. As advertised, I requested 10lb air dry clay. I didn’t even have to open the box to notice the weight felt like 2-3 pounds. I purchased 2 of these, spending almost $60. What a rip off! Thankfully hobby lobby had a 40% of sale. I ended up purchasing 30lbs of air dry clay for $30! Please see the difference between the hobby lobby air dry clay in the picture (white box) and the small brown box sent to me. Definitely not 10 pounds!

Didn’t get good results with this air dry clay with our project. Our project started to crack as it was drying out. I’m not sure if there are certain types of craft uses that this is intended for that are different than what we were doing. We were simply trying to make clay footprints of our pets. So we cut off a chunk, rolled it up in a ball, flattened it our with our hands, and then rolled it out to an even thickness with a rolling pin and rounded the edges. We then just pushed the dogs paw into it and then set it out to dry.You could see on one of these before and after picture it opened up quite a bit of gaps as it started to dry out.Perhaps making circular shapes with this and relatively thick is not the best use, cause it didn’t survive the dry out well. However I’ve done that with other project clays and had no issues. This was straight out of the package sealed up still so it has the original amount moisture that it comes with. If we’re supposed to add more, maybe that would’ve changed it but based on what I saw, it was just average. Still usable but not great.

It's clay. Making drop spindles. It is well conditioned and doesn't have any significant grit. Models and molds very well. I haven't fired it yet, but so far it is working as I had hoped.

Ordered for my son to use to do some crafting. He spends a lot of time on electronics so it's nice when I can get him to do something more creative. I had to help him knead it as it is fairly tough. Works well for sculpting and holds it shape. Seems to take more than 24 hrs to air dry. Overall it works well for kids crafting. I can't commit on professional type use.

My wife says: As a hobby potter I am always interested to try out a new clay. As received this clay was too dry and required water to make it workable. It had quite a small range of 'workability' (i.e. not too dry/not too wet). As greenware (air dried) it did not have much strength but fired to cone 5/6 it was strong (even while very thin) and beautifully white. It will be great for making jewelry.
