These sticks feel like a great balance between a 5A and a 7A. I use them with my Roland V-Drum kit and they play and feel terrific. I keep a hand of these for different live acoustic drum gigs, where volume control is important.

Great sticks, fits with any style that I've played (rock, pop, jazz). The weight and feel overall is excellent. I will say that I do shred them up pretty quickly when playing heavy rock on the hihat for long periods of time, but it's a wooden stick. Metal > wood in durability, whattya gonna do

These are great! They are longer and more of rock version of 7as. If you like long sticks these are worth the try.

Sono un anziano principiante e ho provato varie marche di bacchette tutte 5A un vari legni, tutte diverse come bilanciamento. Ho voluto prendere queste che sono leggermente più lunghe e bilanciate ferso la coda. Mi sono trovato meglio con il controllo specie nella rullata e nel rimbalzo sia sul rullante che sui piatti. Non pago penso che fra un po' avrò un parco bacchette esagerato. Comunque di queste X8D sono foddisfatto.

Normally, my goto stick is VF5A wooden tip, but I go everywhere: 3A, 5B, Rockers... I usually warm up and do snare work with heavier and switch to a lighter stick for set. I've also played Vaters as well but seem to come back to VF. Found this stick by chance at my local shop. Was never a fan of lighter (7A, etc) sticks but these felt much different to me. What I didn't realize was the overall length of the "Extreme", X8D are longer than normal 8D which actually didn't work for me as well. I've also found that Amazon price is the same as my local shop so for that reason, I'll keep my business local.

Who would have though another 1/2" would be a game changer? These sticks are awesome! Or should I say, Extreme?!?! Great fit and balance. I always felt like 16" sticks were ready to fly right out of my hands. The extra 1/2" changes the overall balance of the stick and it stays in my hand better. I think this is my new go-to stick for all types of music. Love it!
