Having included mounting screws would have been nice especially at the rather high price point, but that's my only complaint.

This is rated, per Victron, at 250A, not the 500 shown in the description. It's a not the highest quality item Victron offers, but it's a good option for a muli-fuse/bus bar in small to medium sized systems and a good alternative for the MUCH more expensive LYNX distributor.. I've seen other reviews saying it's poor quality. I have no problem with them, but the plastic structure is a bit thin. Also mentioned in reviews is that the bus bar only covers 5 of six circuits. This is intentional and allows the designer/builder options for it's use. In an RV system, the independent fuse can be used as solar or DC-DC input, for example.

This thing is pretty much exactly what I was looking for. I had to modify it a little for my scenario, but it hasn't given me any problems and I still have room for another connection if I need it. I took off one star because it is advertised as being 500 amps. If you scroll down the item page there is a video from the manufacturer, and it says it is 250 amps. Well I put about 400 amps through it and it still works fine. Didn't even turn color. I would buy it again. Just get your information right seller. It's not that hard. We need to know the exact correct specifications.

Very lightweight plastic. The cover feels light it may break at any time. Comes as a random bag of parts in light weight zip loc style bags. Quite prone to breaking apart especially with rough treatment by Amazon during shipping. Had to return the first one because the bags inside blew apart, and since Amazon doesn’t completely seal the shipping packages, some Amazon driver now has a truck full of loose bolts, bits, washers, and a bus bat since it flew all over the place.You are left to figure out how to assemble it, as there are no instructions. Fairly easy, but a pain given two different sized nuts.It is not Victron branded, and instead had a logo of some Chinese company molded into the cheap plastic.Time will tell if it stands up.Bus bar was made out of tinned copper.

The quality of this bus bar is good, but note that you will need to plan your connections if you want this bus bar to work both for negative, and positive. In this case, you will have to purchase a copper bar, cut, and drill the holes. The positive can be made using a mega fuse of your choice. The mega fuse is exactly the size of the screw bolt connection. When are you going to cut, and drill the negative bar, use the mega fuse to measure the holes. It is exactly the size of the mega fuse.One more thing, this bus bar does not come with the 4 screws for you to attach to the board. You will have to purchase the screws yourself.For the Copper bar I recommend,Copper Flat Bar, 0.12" Thickness x 0.79" Width x 15.75" Length Copper Bus Bar Stock Plate Mill for Electrical (3mm x 20mm x 400mm) - Search here on Amazon and you will find the right one.For the screw, I can suggest #8 x 1" Wood Screw Black Phosphate Coated Stainless Flat Truss Head Fast Self Tapping Drywall Screws.However, note that it will depend on how thick is your board. Maybe you will just need a 1/2 inch or 3/4.

I would have preferred that the bus was pre-assembled. It is basically a bag of nuts, bolts and washers and the block plus a busbar. It’s a 10 minute job (easy) to assemble. Good value.Caution: Victron fuses are inconsistent with their rating. Blue Sea (carling) are probably safer. Would have preferred the Victron kit on wasn’t in the form of a erector set (bag of nuts, bolts, washers) that had to be assembled, but it was easy enough to do. Good value for a fused bus.Caution: Victron megafuses are of dubious quality. Not sure why but they seem to blow early or late. Blue Sea (calling) are consistent and probably safer.

1. Plastic base s cheap and flimsy. I doubt this is 500a. IT'll probably melt.2. Cover breaks if you touch it. Mine broke just taking it out of the box.3. No instructions. IT was a zip lock back with all the screws thrown in it.4. the bus bar does not fit in the case,. It is too short and only 5 holes.
