I have several Viltrox camera accessories, including fast lens adapter which is very good quality.This flash light is no exception, and very well made.Flash is very strong, and easy power is control with easy dial.Light diffuser is easy to mount and stays on well.Initial charge took about an hour, but I think the battery was pretty full (not sure for there is no battery indicator) when it came. USB C charge.Works great with my Lumix mirrorless, and about right size - using G9.Works great for bigger Nikon D810 and smaller Lumix GX85 and Fuji x100vi.Power refresh takes about 4 seconds. Pretty fast.Highly recommend.

Retro inspired compact flash must be in since many third party flashes are manufacturing them. They’re cute and fun to play with as it allows for creative light in a small form factor. Viltrox flash is no different, it’s compact and bright for it’s size. Flash packaging is pretty basic as it includes the warranty card and a plastic diffuser.This is small retro inspired manual flash with rechargeable battery. It’s as simple as it comes. It has 7 flash levels going from full blast at 1/1 to 1/64 strength. It has on off switch and a charging port. It also acts as a slave with optical receiver. Compact flash has retro styling with leathery wrap up top. It works with any camera that has a hot shoe trigger but does not support TTL as it does not have dedicated interface. I paired it with my old Canon AE-1 and it triggers perfectly. Due to this being low profile, it’ll create a shadow when used with a long lens. Overall, it’s no frills flash that’s simple and effective when needed. Recommended.

This, and a similar tiny Godox flash, operates in manual mode. It's well made and does what it's intended to do. The practical way to use it is with your camera in M manual mode. Find the desired flash power with a few test shots. But I rarely use it, preferring a smarter flash that does TTL and High Speed Sync. It's not worth the inconvenience to save a few grams with this flash.

I the simplicity and vintage look of this flash. The retro form factor is the perfect companion to the retro look you can get from your photography.The great thing about it is that it's inexpensive and super easy to use. The physical dial is super easy to use and understand. There are clear markings that represent the percentage of power it will deliver. As a rule of thumb, you'll need to either take a few test shots or use a light meter to decide just how much power you'll need to get the look you want, and that's where you can literally dial up your creative skills.I personally prefer to use a flash only in cases where I only need a little boost because a subject has a lot of light behind them, so I set my camera to expose the image based on whatever light is behind the subject, then dial up a little light to throw in front of them.Everything about this flash is retro, but there are two great modern features that I love, USB-C charging, and a sync mode that lets it sync with other flashes, so you can place it anywhere and get some additional flash when you need it.

VILTROX Vintage Z1 カメラフラッシュ機能、デザイン共に大満足です。X-T5に使用しましたが、しっかり同期して撮影できました。真っ暗状態と同じカメラ設定でぬいぐるみをフラッシュを使い撮影しましたが綺麗に撮れました。重さも120g程で重すぎないですし、ディフューザー付きで明るさの調整など使い方も簡単でした。簡単と言いつつ、最初電子シャッターにしてしまったので、機能しませんでしたがMSに変えたところすぐに機能しました。充電中のインジケーターがない？のか分かりづらいのでそこだけは惜しいポイントでした。

This "retro" flash is a fun and useful gadget. Yes, it has some of that retro feel, with the black leather, but the rest of the device is just plastic. And, it's a fully functional, if basic, guide number 12 flash. I've found the most use for it when doing short range and close up stuff, under 10 feet, where it works well as a kicker. It's also good for adding some fill flash, especially when used off the camera, so the angle gives some depth to the subject. It has both S1 and S2 settings, so it's smart enough to recognize and ignore the preflash. Plus, the onboard battery and USB-C charging means it's always ready to use. And, the recharge time is relatively short at around 4 seconds.

Ottimo prodotto, semplice da usare ed efficace. L'ho utilizzato per fare delle foto ad una comunione e poter contare su delle "schiarite" di sicurezza e non ho sbagliato una foto. Esteticamente anche è molto bello, e il prezzo assolutamente conveniente

Habia leido algunas opiniones y sobre el papel, prometía, pero considerando el precio y el uso objetivo que le iba a dar tampoco esperaba mucho, otro flash más para la colección. Pero vaya sorpresa me he llevado tras usarlo en una sesión completa con mi cámara. Inicialmente pensaba hacer solo unas pocas fotos de prueba y cambiar a mis luces habituales, pero acabé usando el Z1 durante toda la sesión por lo bien que funcionaba.Pesa apenas unos 110-116 gramos, algo que no esperaba para un flash de este tamaño con batería recargable de 1100mAh. Pensé que con tan poco peso tendría poca potencia, pero me equivocaba totalmente. El flash tiene un número guía de 12 que ha sido más que suficiente para todas las situaciones, trabajando cómodamente entre ISO 200 y 400 durante toda la sesión. El difusor incluido merece mención especial, es bastante robusto y proporciona una luz muy agradable y bien distribuida. He notado que cubre perfectamente hasta un angular de 28mm, aunque con 24mm puede aparecer algo de viñeteado en las esquinas. La temperatura de color de 6500K es un pelín fría pero nada problemática, y los controles son muy intuitivos con su dial de potencia que ofrece 7 niveles y los modos S1/S2 para disparo remoto.He probado el flash tanto en distancias largas como en primeros planos, y solo en estos últimos se nota algo de caída de luz en la parte superior del encuadre cuando disparas en vertical. También aparece la típica sombra dura hacia arriba característica de los flashes montados en zapata, pero es lo normal con este tipo de iluminación.La batería aguanta un montón de fotos a plena potencia, pero como casi nunca se usa al máximo (yo disparaba entre 1/16 y 1/2 la mayor parte del tiempo), puede durar muchísimo más. Lo que quiero decir, es que realmente no se todavía cuantas fotos aguanta, pero ya he hecho mas de 300 y sigue respondiendo sin problemas. Es perfecto para eventos no muy largos, aunque para sesiones maratonianas quizás convenga tener un segundo flash de repuesto.Y por ultimo el look. A mi personalmente no me convence mucho, aunque reconozco que la parte de los controles esta bien organizada y es curiosa, pero como son preferencias personales, no influyen para nada en la valoración.

Had to do a reset of my Nikon Zfc to get this flash operational, but once done am happy with its performance. Simple to use in manual mode, has the same construction as the Zfc (plastically and lightweight) but does what is suppose to do and does it very well. Highly recommend and buy it now before the price goes above $50 USD.

Dieser Blitz vereint moderne Technik mit einem wunderschönem Retro Look. Der Blitz sieht wirklich aus als ob er aus den 70ern stammt aber ist viel kleiner und leichter. Er läd auch deutlich schneller auf als seine Vorfahren. Die Einstellungsmöglichkeiten für die Intensität sind ebenfalls wunderbar mit einem mechanischem Stellrad umgesetzt.Die Lichtausbeute ist gut und der mitgelieferte Diffusor hilft noch dabei ungewollte Reflektionen im Bild zu haben.Geladen wird über einen zeitgemäßen USB-C Anschluss. Kabel oder Netzteil liegen nicht bei aber die meisten Menschen dürften mittlerweile ein oder zwei Ladegeräte zur Verfügung haben.
