I ordered this as a Mother's Day gift. Item arrived in a box that looked like it was found in an old basement, taped up all over in an obvious repackaging. Parts were just loosely thrown in the box, so I'm assuming this was a return that was very poorly repackaged. I initially planned to return, but figured I'd see if all parts were packaged (they were).Assembly: if you have no experience assembling items, assembly will be a nightmare, if not impossible. If you have basic experience and knowledge (you know how bolts, washers, nuts, cotter pins, etc work) you will be able to do it. Steps and parts labeling were horrible. By process of elimination you can figure out which bolts and boots go where. Large diagram wasn't too bad. I eventually got item put together. Keep in mind, you'll need your own tools (basic adjustable wrench or two, large Phillips screwdriver, pliers to bend cotter pin).Assembled item: once assembled, the seat actually appears to be good quality. Most parts are metal (tray underneath sear is plastic). Looks nice.Bottom line: if you make it through delivery and assembly, seat is worth it. Also, similar seats were more expensive on Amazon , with large charge for shipping. You can get this at Tractor Supply for double the price.
