very antique looking. The pages are suitably stressed and "stained". The leather is very nice, but i will need to scratch it up some and rub some coffee on it to make it match the antiquing on the paper. The laces need some wear and rubbing as well.

This journal looks suitably old school and I've been complimented on it several times. If you're prone to hayfever, the 'dustiness' of the paper might be sneeze-inducing but aside from that it's well made and looks great. Oh, if you're wanting to use this with a fountain pen, the ink won't really work so well with this style of paper.

ok...ive been journaling for the past 5 years since my son's accident, as suggested by my therapist...i buy a new journal every year to write down my daily thoughts...i saw this journal on amazon and intrigued me because of the leather and the old vintage look to it so i ordered...and WOW!!!! its gorgeous, soft leather, all handmade, little vintage brass lock to secure your daily precious thoughts and memories...and the pages are so vintage, the thickness of the pages are perfect....i ordered the largest size and its still compact enough to take everywhere i go...this by far is the BEST journal i have ever owned!! i definetly know where i will be buying a new one for the following years to come..THANK U and GOD BLESS

The book arrived on time and looks exactly as described. The pages seem a little dusty, but the book is great for the gift I planned it to be. The pages are nice. The leather smells nice after the first day I got it. The pages are signatures or groups of booklets which is what I was hoping for. As it's a gift, I haven't written in it, so I don't know how the pages take ink, but paper thickness is good. The deckled edges look even better in person. It's small enough to be carried around which is a plus and something the receiver wanted. So, it's a win as far as I'm concerned.

Love the quality feels real, hard to write In but that’s also because I’m scared to break it it’s very beautiful! The paper texture feels old times which is perfect if your looking for that kind of thing. I’m using it to practice spiritual work. There’s a lot of paper and pages to write in which is perfect.

No, i don't work for the company and did indeed pay for this book, in fact, two: one as a Xmas gift for a pen club's party and another for myself. From the moment I opened the book, I was blown away at the packaging, opening layer after layer of care taken in wrapping and shipping this leather-bound item.When I finally got to the item itself, I realized what a great gift I gave myself as well as someone at the upcoming event. This book will be treasured by any writer, young or old, by any gender. One of a kind feel in the cover and the pages. MY best buy of the year.

This was a gift from my husband and it is so unique and special. The lapis lazul stone on the front is so unique, as well as the authentic paper sewn inside. The craftsmanship is very well done. The lock is an extra special touch.

L'ho preso perché costava poco convinta che mi sarebbe arrivata una schifezza.Invece è ha una copertina in vera pelle lavorata e decorata, la pietra azzurra al centro è bellissima. Copertina morbida che racchiude un numero considerevole di pagine bianche senza quadretti e senza righe.Si chiude con un gancio laterale e tutto ha un tono molto romantico.Questo sarà il mio grimorio per i prossimi anni e lo adoro.Le pagine sono ben rilegate anche se vanno trattate con cura perché sono tenute insieme da una corda e dà l'idea di essere di essere fragile , ma per ora non ho avuto alcun problema.Stupita e supercontenta
