Works well so far, but only had it for 10 days.

Purchased for our BenQ w1070 projector. This bulb lasted about 6 weeks- 380 hours when it popped and quit working. After reading about bulbs, it is stressed to purchase the BenQ brand replacement. They are $221 thru B&H Photo, but hopefully worth it. We have not had a good track record with equivalent off-brand bulbs from Amazon in this case.

Works great now. Worried me at first cause it kept flickering with an image. Would have a picture then not for at least 10-15 minutes. Had it about a month and been working fine since that initial day. Nice and bright and easy to replace.-9 month update-This bulb exploded! It didn't give the overheating warning or anything. We did use this as our primary tv for the 9 months but the original bulb that came with the BenQ lasted a year and half. Hard to spend $250 for a replacement from BenQ though. Love this projector I'm feeling like bulbs may be a problem....

Original bulb that came with our BenQ W1080ST burnt out after about 3000 hours. It didn't just burn out, it exploded, the area in the projector where the bulb enclosure sits was littered with tiny glass bits. Was able to shake it all out and get it cleaned up. So the question was whether to buy a new bulb with/enclosure, or just the bulb itself. Being somewhat handy and possessing a tiny screwdriver, I decided to take the enclosure apart and order just the bulb. Do yourself a favor and take some pictures of the disassembly so you know exactly how it goes back together. This replacement bulb seems to be the real deal, marked OSRAM P-VIP 240/0.8 E20.9n, which is identical to the original equipment. I've read lots of warnings about buying cheap knock off bulbs that last no time at all. Anyway it went back together fine, put the projector back up on the ceiling, and it runs good as new. Picture looks the same as it ever was. I have no way of telling yet what the life of the bulb will be, but it would seem to be high quality. So the projector is back in order for only a $75 bulb replacement, good deal.

I bought this exact same item twice, once in July 2016 and again in Oct 2017.I left a good review on the first bulb, it appeared identical to the original and lasted a long time. After over a year this bulb blew out and since I had such a good experience last time I ordered the same item again. However this time I received a different product, obviously a cheaper knockoff copy. I checked reviews and should have listened to everyone who said to return it immediately, but I wanted to watch a movie so I stuck it in and it worked. Now 60 days later this bulb has died and I'm ordering a brand new bulb from another company. These bulb's are a now crap, buy elsewhere.Original review: Bought based on reviews on other bulbs from this seller. Product matched original bulb I was replacing in my BenQ W1070. Was able to swap it out without too much hassle using a YouTube guide. Have about 10 hours on it so far with no problems and good brightness.

UPDATE last 2 of these bulbs did not last more than 600 hrs. For this reason I am downgrading my review on these and recommending to stay away from them going forward. 07-13-21This bulb fits my w1070 perfectly. Read a lot of reviews about not trying to replace the bulb, but rather replace the whole housing. Not wanting to spend 1/3 the price of the whole projector for a bulb replacement, decided on this bulb. Good decision, this bulb matched the oem bulb perfectly. Many of the complaints about cheap knock off bulbs are not manifest in this bulb. my projection is bright clear and very much like the original bulb when I purchased the projector new. For those who would like a video of re-using the housing in your projector, there are many on youtube. My last bulb, I have bought two, lasted 3000+ hours. Very happy with this. UPDATE: I've bought three of these bulbs now, had good life in the first two but the last one only lasted 559 hours. Not sure what happened with the last one, but 2 out of 3 isn't too bad I suppose.

So far so good. My original bulb finally blew after 6400 hours on my benq w1070 projector. I purchased this bulb and have around 500 hours so far. I cannot tell any quality differences in picture . seems to be just as bright as my factory bulb when new the only reason I give this 4 star is because the first one I bought was dead on arrival. and the heat paste used on this one isn't quite as much as the factory, but if I can get at least half the life of my factory bulb out of this one I'm a happy camper. Hope this helps anyone looking for a bulb that fits benq w1070.

This bulb is a genuine OSRAM product. I installed this today in my BenQ W1070 to replace the non OEM bulb I purchased 3 months ago on Amazon, which replaced the original bulb my projector came with. Replacement bulb only lasted 343 hours (smart eco), the original bulb lasted 3,687 hours (smart eco). This bulb is exact to the brightness of the original bulb. It has the exact markings and stickers, and is performing perfectly. This is the (only) replacement bulb for your BenQ W1070 projector you'll find on Amazon. Installation was simple, small screwdriver, 6 screw removal, 1 housing plate, 2 tension plates, and wallah you're done.
