VisionTek Display cables offer a quick solution for your display needs. Our cables work across all operating systems including OS X, Linux and Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10. Where necessary, our cables are active for expanded compatibility with multi monitor displays, docks, and digital signage. AMD Eyefinity is also supported with our cables. Each VisionTek cable has been extensively tested with HP, Dell, Lenovo and Mac systems to ensure a wide range of system compatibility. With the 1.5 meter (5 foot) length, the DVI-D to DisplayPort cable provides ample length so you can configure your desk or presentation setup however you wish.

This cable fixed a problem I was having for several weeks. Note: designed for a (25 pin) dvi-d dual link video card output (which contains NO audio) to a displayport output for connection to a monitor. YES, it works and works great! You should be aware that a 25 pin dvi-d connector contains no audio signal. Just google the difference between dvi-d, dvi-i, and if it is dual or single link... There are at least four different types of dvi connectors. Since this is only 5 feet long and I needed further length I used a 3.3 foot DP extention cable. 8K DisplayPort Extension Cable 3.3FT, DP to DP 1.4 Extended Cord Supports 8K@60Hz,4K@120Hz. This gave me the length I needed. I now get 2560 x 1440!

Item did not work when tested with two different monitors and two different video cards. No signal at all.

I needed a cable to complete a triple monitor setup but had two issues: the last port on my video card is DVI and my monitor is a 1440p ultrawide that has only HDMI and DP ports.I did a ton of research and there seemed to be no product on the market that supports this conversion at 1440p without spending north of $150. After almost giving up and getting another video card, I stumbled upon this humble little product. Despite the mixed reviews and the specs stating it supports only up to 2560x1440, I decided to purchase it, fully expecting to be disappointed.Lo and behold, it works! And I confirm it exceeds their listed specs, displaying my monitor at 3440x1440 @ 60hz.

This cord crapped out after working for maybe 2 weeks. My monitor said could not detect a signal from my pc.I swapped it out for a HDMI with a different adapter back to my GPU. C2G DVI-D to HDMI Adapter - Inline Adapter - Male to Female - Video adapter - DVI-D (M) to HDMI (F) - black.

Unlike the deluge of products which will connect a legacy monitor to a DisplayPort computer, this cable will actually connect your perfectly-good DVI-D graphics port to your new monitor's DisplayPort input; and it works. For reasons which remain unclear, desktop KVM switches (switching a single keyboard, video monitor, and mouse among two to four computers) that provide stable, active port switching for desktop computers are still way too expensive. Thus my reluctance to give up my 4-Port KVM with DisplayPort connectors to add a pair of older CPUs with DVI-D connectors.Having wasted money on other cables and adapters---which were only useful to interconnect a DVI-D monitor to a DP source---I found this adapter amid an avalanche of the other Monitor-Graphics connectors; regardless of how careful one tries to be, search engines tied to retail sales always want to return something. Thus the avalanche. So, if what you want to do is connect a graphics source having a DVI-D output---which includes a fair number of older but still excellent graphics cards--this cable will do it. I can vouch for the cables with an IO GEAR 4-Port DP KVM switch, and directly connected to the card. It worked with an HP Envy 27" LCD and an AOC 31" and a L/G 41".

I was really searching hard. This was the only adapter promissing to go beyond HD 1080p giving me QHD 1440p. The price was a pain to me ordering from germany 40€ + 10€ p&p, but it was the only I did manage to find. I was warned by ratings, it did not seem to work for everyone (esp. not DVI-I). But I have DVI-D.So when it arrived in Germany I checked. It worked immediately and i never ran into any problem, now since 1 month. Even though it was expensive to me, it does perfectly solve my problem:Philips PHL 275E1 2560x1440 QHD DPconnected toIntel HD Graphics 530 (DVI-D) on boardI am running the PC now with 2 identical screens, one connected to DP directly and one connected to DVI-D using this adapter, both with max. resolution (2x QHD).

I hate to say this but it didn’t work above 1920 x 1080 for me. I have a MSI GTX 470 in a new 4K monitor. The monitor will display 4K from my work laptop so I know it works. I downloaded the latest Nvidia driver for my video card. The mfg spec for the card says it will support 2k using the DVI plug (not the mini display port) I am plugged the new cable and it wouldn’t go above 1920 x 1080. I was using a DVI to HDMI adapter and it would display 1920 x 1200. I can’t even get that with this cable. I don’t know what else to say except I don’t know what else to try.

These cables (from DVI to DisplayPort) can be rather hard to find, and others I've bought for this purpose did not work as described. Going from DisplayPort to DVI is very common, but the reverse direction - as these cables claim to be - is much harder to find. Cables of this nature are one-direction only, meaning that they do not work in the reverse of the intended conversion. So while DisplayPort-to-DVI cables are very common, they will NOT work if you are trying to convert in the reverse direction, from DVI to DisplayPort. These cables are no different, and only work for the intended direction of conversion, but this conversion is much harder to find, so if you are trying to go from DVI to DisplayPort, as I need to do at my company, then these are perfect. They worked for me on the very first try, with no hassle or problems. As long as you clearly know the conversion you are trying to do, and these match that need, then do it. You won't regret this purchase, unless you make a mistake on the conversion you're trying to achieve. These do exactly what they are described to do.

Solidly constructed DVI to DisplayPort cable, it does what it says, with one significant caveat.Your card MUST support DVI-D, if it only supports DVD-I output you cannot use this. All mine are fairly recent and support DVI-D, and monitors in use range from VGA to DisplayPort, so no issues here. This is a handy item if what you need is to connect an older system to a newer monitor, and they are not directly cross-compatible (HDMI is broadly available and often the common denominator), or you want multiple monitors connected and that unused (older) DVI connector is free.
