Has been very helpful in helping to control the temperatures of our second floor!

I am a true skeptic with a slight Amazon problem, but I have to say that this vent booster is amazing. My room is 18x24 with a pitched ceiling that gets all the evening sun, and it makes a huge difference in cooling. It is mostly quiet, higher the speed the louder but not annoyingly. I am buying another for this room.

These are way to high tech and that makes it impossible to adjust. They need to just have a sensor that turns them on/off when airflow through the vent start/stops. Instead they have a temperature you have to set.I have adjusted them 100x. They will not come on, come on when no air is flowing, or never shut off. Impossible to just to work perfect each time.Save your money and find ones without a temp sensor. Fine ones with an airflow sensor.

These fans are so loud at max fan speed. I read a max of around 53 decibels. That is the sound of a hairdryer constantly running in the background. I can't slow down the fans, Otherwise the airflow within my workspace would suffer. so I replaced the fans with quieter ones. it turns out that these fans are not special. they are DC controlled 80mm computer fans. So by splicing in noctua fans into the original leads, the fans are now so quiet that you cannot hear them at maximum speed. Obviously the airflow has been cut in half and I cannot displace the same amount of air in an hour as with the old fans. But these are advertised to be QUIET. A hairdryer blowing air 2 feet away is not quiet. Its clearly not and the seller should not advertise that its QUIET.Other than that, it was easy to install. looks okay., and functions as it should. Boosting airflow in rooms that do not have much.Overall, if you are expecting more like a whisper (31 decibels) for these fans, don't bother. the lowest is around the volume of a coversation with no shouting (41 decibles ), to a hair dryer (53 decibels). You need to replace those fans. Thankfully, the process is simple with a soldering iron and a few hours. but for those who want a quiet, all in one solution, go with a different seller.

Bought this to boost airflow in bedroom. It’s farthest room from air handler. It works good.It comes on and off based on temperatures you set. Kinda wish it would just come on when air flow is sensed.

So I bought one to see how well they worked because they were on sale. Long story short, I ordered 3 more while they were on sale for 50% offBut anyway I bought one to help heat our living dining kitchen area which is about 25x20’ or 500sqft with a 12’ vaulted ceiling. One made a slight difference but 2 really helped warm the room. This room is the farthest from the furnace and has the old style base board diffusers that sit above a 2x12 vent or what should use a toe kick . I just kind of have them rigged up for the time being until I figure out a more permanent solution. One thing I noticed is that the airflow is easily restricted so make sure they have plenty of room behind them when installing or it will severely limit the airflow. They are a little noisy on 10 but most fans are when they are on the highest setting.

Works great. Don't be fooled by the "brand name" it's the exact same thing! Works really good! Good power, noise is based on fan speed, easy to use, really good value and looks good.

Bought this to replace one that I had for a couple years. I love this one so much better. The last one just had knob dials and it was hard to get it just right. This vent is next to the wall by a couch so I haven't had anyone step on it yet and can't vouch for that type of durability. It's not as noisy as the last one, it blows out more air too. The air moves the leaves on my mom's plants when I put it on high, it's 12 feet away from the vent. I like that it's not completely quiet because that's know I know it's working and that the furnace just turned on. Sometimes my mom likes to open the door for fresh air and she'll close it when she hears the booster fan turn on, otherwise she wouldn't be able to hear the furnace running since it's on the other side of the house, and pretty much outside. I had to tinker with what low temp to set for it to start running. When set too low it would turn on without the furnace running. I have a swamp cooler, so I don't know how well it works with the AC, just the furnace. Since I bought the house, we've only have one working vent hooked up to the ducts for the whole front 18 feet of my double wide and this vent booster makes up for the other vent in the dining room being closed off for some reason. It's a big job to hook it up since I'd have to tear out the insulation and underbelly material to get the the ducts, this booster saves me from having to deal with that headache of a job. Without a booster, my living room was so cold in the winter. That's the reason I bought the first one from a store, but this one is much stronger and I love that I can play with the settings easier with buttons and digital screen vs little knobs and guessing. It fits perfect, nice and flush with my tile flooring. I have a vent deflector shaped like a "C" with the magnets on it covering the vent so it blows in the direction I need, I just taped it to the floor around the vent so it would stay in place since the booster is plastic not metal. I feel it helps the air flow stronger to warm up more space. This booster and a deflector are a perfect combo if it's not in a place someone will walk, they make ones that push the air straight up too instead of the "C" shape.

It works great. Great company , I have used Vivo sun products for years . Great customer service. I see some complaints about fan noise . That’s ridiculous. It’s two high powered fans that are in a vent . On highest setting it’s not even that bad but will make some noise. Works great. We have a back bedroom that doesn’t get good airflow this solved the problem and saved the day going into summer . Also in my experience with electronics , keep it simple . Just use the fan. If fans with other bells and whistles are constantly turning on and off there are more opportunities for something to fail and then cause catastrophic failure in equipment. I need airflow so I just keep it on high fan setting and leave it alone .

I am not sure why this has so many good ratings? This has no air flow unless you put it on 10 / max which is so loud. Was using it in a bedroom. Way too loud to sleep with it on.Returned.

I bought this to try and compensate the downstairs office temperature which was always a couple of degrees lower than upstairs. My thinking was that it will blow more hot air in the office and will even things out. I have a home assistant and an ecobee so I was able to track the temperature very precisely over time. The verdict after running it for 10 days and looking at the data is:1. It restricts the airflow significantly when off2. To get the airflow back to the same level as an open vent you have to run the fan at around 5-6 out of 10.3. In order to get positive airflow you need to be running it at max speed when it's really loud4. When it's running it also cools the air which kinda defeats the purpose of improving heating. My data shows that after installing it and running at 5-6 speed for 10 days the temperature at the office never went to the same levels as it was with just an open vent. It might have worked if I ran it at max speed but it is way too loud.I can see how it may be useful for cooling which is why I am keeping it in case I need it in the summer.

Very good product! We use it to pull air from our wood heater in the basement, we have tried a couple of other brands, but they do not rate like this one.Simple to use, very well built, and it moves a lot of air.We do not use it in a vent, but i can see how un-obstructive it would be to the air coming from the HVACLarge opening for the air to pass through, and runs very quietly compared to the others we have.We will be replacing the other brands with this one. :)
