The reason it didn't work for me is because it wasn't designed to do what I wanted it to do. I was trying to use it in a floor vent, and quickly realized that the power cord will be in the way. Not a problem with the wall vents, obviously. Most have an outlet nearby.Docking a star because I expected it to have better fans. But that's an easy fix with a couple of Noctuas

I live in Florida and when I saw this booster fan I thought what a great idea, it looks like a vent but it really is a fan that is installed in your vent, then all you have to do is install it in your vent opening, turn it on and feel the extra breeze… NOT!The booster fan appears to be attractive, it has a nice vent design and quality wise it looks good. There is a remote to control the fan speed and basically it appears as though it’s an innovative idea. It’s the installation that is the big fail. Nowhere in the description does it tell you that this can only be placed in a side wall vent, all of my vents are in the ceiling, strike one. The second strike is it has to be plugged in and unless I am misunderstanding the reason for the plug, it means you have to have a plug nearby that will then hang out of the vent. It doesn’t show this in the photos or mention it in the description. So overall this is useless for me, I wish the requirements were outlined more specifically because the. I would have known that it could not be installed in ceiling vents, only side wall vents. Lastly, unless someone can hard wire the electrical plug, it would look very unattractive to have a plug hanging from a vent even if you had the appropriate vents. I would suggest investigating this item before purchase.
