This is definitely handy to have if you work with both Vmount and Gold mounts. It seems well made and works great.

I primarily use gold mount systems for all my camera items, but have recently gotten a few V-mount batteries to power some lighting gear that had native V-mount accessories. This plate allows me to also use those V-mount batteries on some of my gold mount gear. The plate itself is very basic, with a run of the mill plastic housing and a single D-tap plug. Both the gold mount and V-mount sides click securely, with no discernible wiggle on the gold mount side and the usual minimal wiggle of a V-mount battery on that side (I feel like all V-mounts have a tiny bit of wiggle and this is on the lesser side of what I've experienced). This adapter is sized as large as a full size battery, so it sticks out a bit strangely when I mounted it on my Komodo camera with a "micro" sized V-mount battery. On items like my monitor, it isn't so noticeably large. This isn't really a plus or a minus, just an observation on the size. This plate does exactly what I need it to do and, at $77, isn't too badly priced. Sure, it is a bit basic, but that's really all I need from a plate like this. I feel like upgrading the housing to aluminum would only add weight and cost, as the plastic used should be sufficient and is what the majority of battery plates are made from anyway. More than a single D-tap would have been nice as well, but again, not entirely necessary, as the gold mount plate it's sandwiching onto should have D-tap ports of its own anyway, and adding more ports would just drive up the cost. As it is, I think it's a good balance of maintaining a lower price point while filling the needed function.
